  • Stomping Grounds:

Southeast Asia, Central and South America, and North America
  • Bio:

I'm a retired National Park ranger. Called it quits from the job in 2005, and since then have spent 3+ years traveling in Cntral and South America, China, and southeast Asia. Met my wife in Bangkok, and after convincing her to quit her job, we have continued traveling in Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
I'm from the easterm U.S., just 21 miles from Canada, but now live in Pueblo, CO (at least for awhile).
Too bad more Americans don't travel overseas, as they are missing a lot of neat places.
Gotta go. There aremore places to see!

great fit for narrow foot folks

Montrail Namche Hiking Boot - Women's

Montrail Namche Hiking Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 September 25, 2008

I moved here from Thailand, and have very narrow feet (double A). This brand is one of few that fit me well. It does seem to run 1/2 size small. A friend has a normal width foot (but not wide!), and this boot also fits her.
My husband is American, and is a retired National Park Ranger with narrow feet (B). He has 4 pairs of Montrail shoes/boots which he loves. He wore one pair all over Thailand, Indonesia, Burma, Cambodia, and Laos during the 1 1/2 years he lived here. As an outdoor professional, he likes a snug fit and this brand has that.
We are both happy with the fit and quality construction of Montrail boots. OK, this sounds like an ad, but the fit was very difficult for us until we found this brand.
