Bio:
I am a skiing lifer and gear junkie who is in the education/coaching profession.
Introduced my wife and two daughters (11 and 9) to the sport in 2005....Each and every year their skills grow and confidence blossoms. I hope to have influenced and provided enough positive life experiences to have them become life long skiing partners willing to travel anywhere and enjoy the lifestyle.
Halfway through my career obligations...I am already planning my retirement to the mountains of UT. I have 13 more years before I can consider 100+ ski days as a normal ski season. Having this as a life long goal, keeps me youthful and dreaming of a Utah retirement.

Smith Variant Brim Helmet - Women's
August 20, 2011
No, the visor does not come off........the visor is what makes this helmet one of the most sought after helmets in the short history of helmet wearing.........for men or women.......this helmet looks great on anybody.......it is low profile, it does not make anybody look like they have a gigantic head, and keeps goggles right under the bomber brim for the no gaper look.....fits great with the adjustable boa system........a great "stylish" helmet.

Smith Maze Helmet
November 15, 2010
I recommend the Maze.....so lightweight you don't even know you have a helmet on.........for the style.....I always wear black.....but if you have white and orange goggles......your style is def. different than mine.....which is great....but maybe you should go for the white helmet......it might go better with your goggle choice.....
Hope that helps.......By the way, it is snowing again in Utah.....I love skiing between Halloween and Thanksgiving.

K2 Coomback Ski
August 15, 2010
The new 2010-2011 Coomback has a new snophobic top sheet that keeps snow from sticking to the top sheet when touring....you can wax it too...to make it even more SNOPHOBIC!!!........The new model now has custom pre cut skins that fit the Coomback perfectly as well as the other Adventure Series skis..........as far as the construction of the 2010-2011 Coomback compared to the 2009-2010, I believe everything is still the same...but you might want to wait to hear from the Backcountry experts on the actual construction differences.....
I have skied previous models of the Coomba/Coomback and they are sweeet!!!!....totally all mountain, all conditions ski........one quiver ski for most...........The 2009-2010 model is no longer available on BC so you might have to go for the new model at $649.95..........depending on your size and ability....but I ski the 181.....nice......
*I can definitely answer your second question......flat means the ski does not come with bindings.

Smith Maze Helmet
November 23, 2009
This helmet will fit both those goggles......If I had to choose between the Maze and G10......I would def. go with the Maze. The Maze is so low profile and light, it will make the G10 look like a football helmet. The Maze is sweet.....go low pro......go for the Maze......
