I like going places to get away from it all. places where my cell phone doesnt right and where answering e-mails isn't a possibility. I love hiking and backpacking and fishing and taking pictures of it all. but i'm definitely more of a gearhead know it all than a hiker unfortunately...

Vasque Sundowner GTX Backpacking Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 30, 2009

listen, i have bad ankles, probably because i'm overweight. i've never really checked into where these boots have been made or not. all i know is that they have plenty of miles on them, more than 3 seasons worth. they also have never let my feet get wet. finally and most importantly these boots are so friggin comfortable its not even funny. i dont even have to put insoles in these like i do most other boots. anyway here's me with my boots in water just under my ankle... i love these things with no hesitation to recommend to others.

this is cool

Backcountry.com Titanium Pot w/ Lid - 700ml

Rating for this product: 4 December 30, 2009

well, i decided that i would get myself 700ml pot. just to see what all the hype is about. i really like the size of this pot and the fit of the lid vs. pot is awesome. i wish that there were more drain holes in the lid but that's something i can just take care of myself. it doesn't fit a pocket rocket inside of it but i'm sure that most other compact stoves will definitely fit.

my only gripe about this thing is the way that it feels in your hand. the finish is different... like primer on a car kinda... anyway i think its still awesome and it weighed in on my scale at 4.4oz. i've also included some pictures of this next to a coke can for size comparison.
