Icebreaker BodyFit 260 Legless Bottom - Men's

Icebreaker BodyFit 260 Legless Bottom - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 July 9, 2010

I brought four pairs of this product for the family, primarily for wearing under a waterproof shell skiing. They have been a hit with everyone and we haven't gotten to the snow yet. I notice everyone's wearing them around the house, walking the dog, pretty much most of the time. My impression of the bodyfit260's is that they are as good as advertised, they have a great ability to modulate temperature, you don't seem overly hot or cold at anytime. Given that these are the mid weight 260's they breathe so well you don't seem to overheat at temperatures they probably aren't designed for. The over riding impression is that they are light/comfortable (no itch), and just do their job so well you just forget about them. Which is really what you want in a base/mid layer. Now for the notes, which relate mainly to size. I'm 6ft 1" (220lb) and vary between L and XL. I brought the L and they are a little big, I haven't sent them back but for an M but I think they definitely run large. This seemed true of everyone in the family. So if you are on the border definitely go for the smaller size. This is made more noticeable by the cut, they are not really what I would call skin tight. I know that they aren't meant to be compression style, they are a light skin contact which kind of makes them look a little larger, however, they stay in place well not wanting to fall or ride up. Finally, the boot cut for me is a little short, I think I'd get the regular cut next time and just turn them up which wouldn't be a problem due to the non-compression fit mentioned above. So in summary great product, two thumbs up but be careful with sizing.

Arc'teryx Scarab Pant - Men's

February 9, 2010

I have an older (2 year) pair of Arcteryx Stingray pants with the instep protection, not the hem/cuff of the new model. What is the difference between my Stingrays and the new Scarab pants? Thanks, Phill
