I have used these in -25-30 Celsius, with a set of normal thickness hiking socks. I was ice cragging, and after a long belay had my feet go numb, and had to take the crampons off and go stomp around for a while to get feeling back. I'm from Washington so sized them to fit around a thinner sock rather than a expedition thickness. These boots are awesome, and I think they would do well with a set of overboots for the cold next time. That is just speculation though,

Outdoor Research Furio Jacket - Men's

It would be nice if the Pro Shell was on the hood also, rather than just the shoulders and hips. I have not had the chance to use the jacket while working hard, but walking in heavy rain has not been a problem yet. I was lucky to get it off SAC. Be aware that the jacket does not have any waist area pockets, so if you usually walk around with your hands in your pockets might want to keep looking. Fits well, easily with a helmet and layers. I'm 6'1" 160 so on the skinny side, but like it a lot.
