I have used these in -25-30 Celsius, with a set of normal thickness hiking socks. I was ice cragging, and after a long belay had my feet go numb, and had to take the crampons off and go stomp around for a while to get feeling back. I'm from Washington so sized them to fit around a thinner sock rather than a expedition thickness. These boots are awesome, and I think they would do well with a set of overboots for the cold next time. That is just speculation though,
