Sorel Bota Bag Boot - Men's

Sorel Bota Bag Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 April 2, 2010

These are certainly comfortable and likely warm, but the large opening just created too much risk of snow intrusion for my comfort. Had to return for something that closes around my ankle. Wearing these in snow more than 2 inches deep, you would end up with snow inside. If you don't need to wear in snow, then I'm sure they are great. Then again why wear boots?

Great helmet - very light

POC Synapsis XP Helmet

POC Synapsis XP Helmet

Rating for this product: 5 December 29, 2009

This helmet is extremely light and comfortable. Size wise, I had to move up to an XL although I wear an M or L in most other brands. Not much padding inside. To customize the fit for my narrowish skull, I used a pair of spare pads from a cycling helmet to take up extra space on the sides above the earpiece. Love the helmet, love the fit, and never see another one on the mountain.

Nice goggle, and BIG

Electric EG2 Goggle

Electric EG2 Goggle

Rating for this product: 4 December 29, 2009

I'm using these with a POC helmet and the fit is nearly perfect. They look great, but the lenses are a bit darker than I am used to. Will probably need to pickup a less dark lens for snowy and very cloudy days.

A bit long for Audi A4 Avant

Thule Rapid Aero Aluminum Load Bar Pair Package

Thule Rapid Aero Aluminum Load Bar Pair Package

Rating for this product: 3 December 29, 2009

Got these because of the slick "aero" look, but discovered that they cannot easily be cut for perfect match with vehicle like the the old style bars. They look nice, but have a few inches of overhang, particularly over the back door. Also, it turns out that practically none of the rack attachments take advantage of the "rapid load" slots, making for a very bulky, decidedly non-aero, interface between the bars and attachments. They still work fine but did not deliver expected advantages (given the cost and design changes) over the traditional bars.
