Bio:

I'm from Grand Rapids, Michigan. I am a current college student. I have been all over the country. East coast, Maine, Appalachian Mountains, Colorado Rockies, Arches, Zion, Mesa Verde, Grand Canyon, Banff, Glacier, Yellowstone, Tetons, Yosemite, Crater Lake, Sequoia, the Badlands, Alaska, Olympia, and British Colombia. My family has always been big into hiking. I also love backpacking and mountain climbing. Being from Michigan its hard to get out west, but I've managed to summit 16 fourteeners to date.

The jacket was designed as a lightweight packable midlayer, and in those areas it is perfect. It is not meant to be a outerlayer. It is extremely light, retains its loft very well, and packs down nice and small. I have been very happy with my coat. Another great product from Marmot. Another great price from Backcountry.
