Pretty Damn Cool

MFD Alltime AT Binding

MFD Alltime AT Binding

Rating for this product: 4 January 17, 2012

I just tried these out for the first time today, and was very impressed. They are SO easy to use, and feel totally bomb proof. They were a great option for me, because while I have two pairs of skis, I wanted to be able to ski them both at the resort comfortably. These are awesome! Such a simple solution. My only complaint is the weight. I was able to cut down significantly by buying a light titanium binding to pair it with. I'm at around 3 lbs 3oz per binding, per ski. It's not horrible, and I think that the ease of use and super solid binding make it worth it.

Awesome!

Marmot Venus Down Vest - Women's

Marmot Venus Down Vest - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 February 16, 2011

I love this vest. It's so warm, but not too bulky. I like the leaner cut and that the length is a little bit longer. It's very flattering, and the blue is very vibrant. It's light enough to wear under a shell or warm enough on its own. Love it!

Great Pant, Wish There Were More Colors

Stoic Bombshell Ski Pant - Women's

Stoic Bombshell Ski Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 February 16, 2011

I really like these pants, but did have to size up so I could layer under them. I liked the length on them a lot (I'm 5'8", with a 33 inch inseam), and how technical they were. I really wish there were more color options though besides black and pink. In general I really like stoic stuff, but have been very disappointed with the color selection.

So Short and wide!

Arc'teryx Covert Zip Neck Pullover - Women's

Arc'teryx Covert Zip Neck Pullover - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 January 12, 2010

I'm so sad. I have been eying this pullover for months, but wasn't willing to pay the price. Finally SAC puts one up for cheap cheap, and I ordered 2. One medium, one large because I heard it ran short. I thought "how short could it really be?". Turns out, very short! What were the designers thinking?? It's very warm, great color, great style... Just designed for the short and stout. I'm a medium accross the board, and the medium barely came to my navel, with room to spare sideways. The large could have passed for long enough, but had an extra foot of fabric on either side. I'm so disappointed. How is anybody willing to pay full price for this item??

Some of my Favorites!

Sanuk Donna Hemp Shoe - Women's

Sanuk Donna Hemp Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 9, 2010

I really love these shoes! They certainly aren't meant for anything intense, but they are so comfortable and so cute. They are a part of my favorite summer casual outfits, and it turns out they are great for summer climbing too! I bring them to the crag with me to wear in between climbs since they are so much more comfortable than my approach shoes, and very light to bring along.

Kavu First Frost Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 1 January 9, 2010

I really like everything about this shirt, except the length. It's just too short for me. I've tried to make it work, but am going to send it back...

Runs Small

Backcountry.com Prism T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Women's

Backcountry.com Prism T-Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 January 9, 2010

I really like this shirt, but it definitely runs narrow. I'm 5'8" and am pretty much a medium in every shirt I buy, but when I put this one on, my C cups looked like double D's because I could barely fit it over my chest. I love the length, not too long, but long enough to keep my belly and back from showing. I traded for a large, and it fits great.

Nice, but little

Backcountry.com Dawn Patrol Vaccuum Coffee Tumbler - 3-Pack

Backcountry.com Dawn Patrol Vaccuum Coffee Tumbler - 3-Pack

Rating for this product: 3 January 9, 2010

I really like the style and durability of these tumblers, but 12 oz. is tiny! I assumed they were at least 16 oz. when I bought them (forgot to check size). 12 oz is really not functional. I'm not going to take a measly 12 oz of tea or coffee to the crag to camping... I would LOVE some 16 oz ones

Great Pants!

The North Face Recife Paulista Pant - Women's

The North Face Recife Paulista Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 January 12, 2009

I just bought 2 pairs of these pants, and am very pleased! I'm 5'8", and got a size 8 long and a size 10 long. Both fit well. I am usually an 8, but often buy a size up so that they fit looser for climbing. I tend to find pants that fit big in the waist and tight in the hips and butt. These pants in size 8 fit my waist perfectly without cutting off the circulation to my legs. I wore these to the climbing gym yesterday, and they were fantastic. They have a very flattering fit, are very comfortable, and thank god someone makes long pants! The belt is nice, since I can't count the number of pants I have that I can only wear with a harness, because my butt will show if I don't. With the belt, I feel like these could stretch or get wet and they would still stay up. Highly recommended!
