KEEN Venice H2 Sandal - Men's

KEEN Venice H2 Sandal - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 July 17, 2008

I live in La Crosse, Wisconsin, which is a Mississippi River town that is surrounded by bluffs and coulees. I bought this sandal to tackle the river, trails, islands, backwaters, and whatever else I could throw at 'em. My first adventure was at 6 Flags Great America and they were flawless. I walked all day in them right out of the box and my feet felt great. They do get a little warm, but all you have to do is flex your toes and get them in the breeze. I don't understand why anyone would want to wear flip-flops, especially in a theme park when you could have some protection, comfort, and somewhat clean feet. Can't wear flip-flops on roller coasters. Since the maiden voyage I have gone fishing and done some yard work as well as everyday tasks in the Keens. They were at home in the boat and never slipped in the water at the boat launch (thanks razor siping!). At home I was shoveling dirt and picking up yard debris after a storm and never felt like I was going to stab my feet. Excellent protection and functionality. Size 11 was dead on for me and that is my usual size. No problems getting them on or off. Getting sand or debris out is as easy as dipping your feet in the water or hosing them out. They are more open than the Newport. If you can't stand a little debris in a sandal after some serious usage than wear boots. I've worn Teva before, but the Keens are more comfortable and have the added protection. I definitely recommend these sandals for land and water.
