coming froma family who's extent of the great outdoors was pitching a tent in the back yard, i've just began dabbling in the great outdoors. kayaking is my current vice, so addicting, and anticipate taking a class over the winter/spring to hone my already mad paddling skills...
aside from a really cool job, my time is split between my upstate friends, and renovating ye old homestead, and pints with friends :)

Backcountry.com SynthTrail No-Show Sock - 4-Pack

Backcountry.com SynthTrail No-Show Sock - 4-Pack

Rating for this product: 5 November 11, 2010

Some of the best socks I've owned. They're wonderful at shielding the blister "hot spots" -- even after the fact when having to wear an inferior sock whilst all of your SynthTrail No-Show socks are in the wash (poor planning on my part) -- Wonderful as a "liner" for a pair of cleats on the pitch, or a nice little trail run in my Montrails. As a person who misplaces socks constantly, I've wound up with both right socks in my gear bag. Hint: turn one inside out, you now have a left sock....

The North Face Fire Road Trail Running Shoe - Women's

The North Face Fire Road Trail Running Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 February 22, 2010

Here it is: the shoe is not bad, for road running and a more even trail. Feels as light as a slipper, and first run - no blisters. However, it lacks a bit in the support, specifically toe box area, and loosens quicker than any other shoe I've had the pleasure of lacing up, the more miles that are piled on. Maybe size down if you prefer a more true to size fit after a couple runs.

Salomon B52 Dry WP Winter Boot - Women's

January 11, 2010

I've found Solomon's to run a bit large. If you're going to go up, from personal experience, 1/2 size should do you.

Montrail Continental Divide Trail Running Shoe - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 March 30, 2009

...Supportive, great stability, comfortable, breathable, stylish, wide toe box, snug heal -- having bad arches, they're great for a run in the hills, or a quick workout at the gym. I have to say, they're a very satisfying running shoe. Very similiar to the Hurricane Ridge XCR Trail runner --- just Gor-tex free. I kid my boyfriend, they're nearly as satisfying as he...

Patagonia Footwear Shore Thing Sandal - Women's

Patagonia Footwear Shore Thing Sandal - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 September 26, 2008

My feet have found a new love with Patagonia's shore thing sandal. True to size, great fit even for wider feet. The only downside: the thin layer of cork is flaking slightly; not too shabby being worn practically daily (with the exception of work) for 4 months. They still produce a shoegasm whenever they're on!

Chaco Flip EcoTread Sandal - Women's

Chaco Flip EcoTread Sandal - Women's

Rating for this product: 2 September 26, 2008

As my first pair of Chaco's, I was disappointed in the fit. It seems this sandal was designed for a narrow foot. The arch didn't come close to matching with mine. May try a men's for the width.
