My Only Jacket...

The North Face Thunder Down Jacket - Women's

The North Face Thunder Down Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 August 19, 2009

I primarily wear only this jacket in SF winters, where temps might be down to the 40s with the wind chill, and I am on a motorcycle, so it gets pretty windy and cold. With a fleecy layer underneath, you could do colder temps, or snowboarding even, as it has a sealing drawstring on the waist. It's super light and comfortable and packs up easily in my backpack. The grey color is a light silvery grey, but very low key.

Cons: It does not do much for your physique ladies, it's a neutral fit, yet no form-fitting looks here. You will NOT look like the michelin man, because the jacket is so lite, but its a bit boxy.

Sizing: True to size. I am always a S in NF and i got a S. I am 36" 28" 37"

Overall: Great mid season outer jacket, and i guess it would work great as an underlayer, but why hide it?

Fleecy fun

The North Face TKA 100 Glacier 1/4 Zip Fleece Top - Long-Sleeve - Women's

The North Face TKA 100 Glacier 1/4 Zip Fleece Top - Long-Sleeve - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 July 31, 2008

This fleece is wonderful. Just as you want it: 1/2 Zip, comfortable and not too tight, soft but sturdy material, just what i want to put on a cold winter evening under my jacket. I am 5'6, 36" 28" 36" and the small is perfect, if not a little loose in the waist. NF runs just a tad large, so order your size and expect a little room to wiggle.

I am very pleased with this fleece. Its exactly as fleecy as you want it, not too thick, but not skimpy either. Couple that with slightly fitted lines and a sturdy zipper and its the perfect layering piece. I am 5'6 36" 27" 36" and the small fits just right, if not a little baggy around the waist. NF runs a bit on the large side compared to Marmot or Patagonia, but I am always a small in NF, where I might be a medium in others.

Great for Travel

Contourwear ZOP2 Bermuda Convertible Pant - Women's

Contourwear ZOP2 Bermuda Convertible Pant - Women's

I got these for my adventure travel trips in the future. They are super lite so they would pack easily, and dry super quickly, for convenience. They run a little short, The size 6 I got is about a 31" inseam, but there is 2 inches to spare to let them out for longer lengths. I usually buy size 6 or 28-29 (in Sevens and Citizens) jeans, and these fit perfectly, and they have a little stretch so they look sweet.
