I'm a student at Michigan Tech studying applied ecology and environmental science. Currently I am living in Finland for a semester for a study abroad. I love to be outdoors, running, skiing, biking and hiking especially. I'm always up to learn something new, but I'm just content to be outside in the fresh air looking at the plants :D

Salomon Bliss Winter Boot - Women's

October 16, 2009

Warmth isn't a problem. My feet have always been warm, it wasnt untill I wore a hole in them that I noticed how warm they actually keep my feet warm. Traction on the other hand is more of a problem. I also live in a very snowy region, and I dont have a problem with just snow, its the ice that can sometimes be more problemsome. So ice, not good traction, but snow I think its just as good as any normal shoe.

Salomon has made my favorite boot

Salomon Bliss Winter Boot - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 September 13, 2009

My boyfriend bought me a pair of these two years ago in a tan brown. I absolutely love them! I have worn them non-stop all winter for the past two winters and now the heels are starting to wear down but only because of my constant use. I had back problems at first wearing these, but I put some Dr. Scholls foot pads in and they have worked so well. I live in a northern climate, and they're not the best for ice but they didn't seem to be much worse than a pair of Keens. They were also wonderful to wear when I was studying in Finland, they made me feel so Scandinavian! I also liked that no one I knew had them, so they were unique and that showed with all the compliments I received! These have been my most favorite winter shoe ever!

I need a large toe box usually in shoes and have a hard time fitting them, but these worked well. I would suggest these to anyone.

Good for low impact

Patagonia Active Mesh Bra - Women's

Rating for this product: 3 April 8, 2009

I really like the comfort and material! But I was hoping to use it for running, and its not possible since I'm a size C. Although, I'm constantly in the woods for school and work so its great for other low impact activities. I recommend it for xc-skiing, biking, hiking or just to wear around the house.

Does the job

Mountain Hardwear Epic Jacket - Women's

Mountain Hardwear Epic Jacket - Women's

Rating for this product: 4 April 8, 2009

I bought a medium crimson jacket. I bought it for field work in school and backpacking in Europe. So far its held up well. It seems a bit big in the trunk of the body, but I'm used to more form fitting ski jackets. My only other complaint would be getting the hood to stay up, it keeps falling down when I bike in the rain; this could also be to my lack of understanding of the jacket.
