Yakima Fairings

Yakima Fairings

Rating for this product: 5 November 23, 2009

I hated my Yakima rack before I bought this. I never left it on my car because anything over 30mph sounded like I was riding in a convertible. It was super easy to install and Yakima even includes small removable patches to protect your paint. Now even cruising at 75 I have almost no wind noise and it makes the whole package look a lot cooler.

Worth the extra money

Yakima SKS Lock Cores - 6 pack

Yakima SKS Lock Cores - 6 pack

Rating for this product: 5 November 23, 2009

Although after a hefty price tag for rack and bars and fairing and what not, these can seem pretty superfluous they are definitely worth it. Super easy to install and then easy to use. I have my rack locked to my car and my bike locked to my rack when I use all of them so I can leave it all on the roof after a long ride.

Killer Jersey

Castelli Continuo Half Zip Cycling Jersey - Men's

Castelli Continuo Half Zip Cycling Jersey - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 January 2, 2009

I love this jersey. It is plenty warm without feeling like you are wearing a thick jacket. The inside is soft and prevents that itchy feeling when you start to heat up. My favorite part is the zipper on the back. It is large enough for my bulky phone so I never have to worry about dropping it on the ride.

Great boot!

The North Face Hayden Chukka Shoe - Men's

The North Face Hayden Chukka Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 January 2, 2009

These boots are fantastic. They look really cool and feel pretty comfortable. I bought them as winter boots and after getting them I don't think they will cut it. They really are not insulated in any way, and although they may be water resistant they are not water proof. They have held up really well and after a few months of heavy wear show almost no sign of it. If you want a rugged fashionable boot these are great, just not the most functional footwear

Awesome shorts

Castelli Wicked Bibshort - Men's

Castelli Wicked Bibshort - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 September 26, 2008

These were my first pair of bib shorts and now I will never go back. Sizing was a piece of cake I am 6'2" and 160 lbs, ordered a medium and they fit perfectly. The chamois is comfy and the shorts feel good. I have ridden in them about 15 times now and had no problems. The only issue I have is the shoulder straps are a little uncomfortable, mostly because I'm tall, but they are just not as smooth as could be. This generally isnt a problem because I wear a mesh base layer. Recap: Get these shorts and you will never want anything less

Not bad...not great

Innovations Proflate 16 Inflator

Innovations Proflate 16 Inflator

Rating for this product: 3 September 26, 2008

It will fill your tube... maybe. I had a flat slipped in the cartridge and went to town. It got to the point where the pressure in the tube (most likely around 70?) was keeping the air out, and the pressure in the canister wasn't great enough to continue inflating. If it were me I would save the money and get a simpler, threaded system. Recap: Good if you dont mind riding home on a low tire

Terrific shoe

The North Face Padda Amphibious Shoe - Men's

The North Face Padda Amphibious Shoe - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 July 7, 2008

I love this shoe, it is perfect for the water, whether I'm sailing, hiking, crossing a stream, or just lounging. They are very comfortable and are pretty rugged. The water drains out quickly and the shoe gives great traction. Also the laces over a velcro strap or basic water sock are a welcome feature. When I want to lounge around the camp fire or the backyard I like my shoes lose and comfortable, but when pulling the kayak or sailboat on to a trailer I am glad I can tie my shoes tight and not worry about slipping out of them. The best part is these shoes look great!
