I'd also love to know if the hip belt is removable or can be hidden? Can this pack function well for school?

Osprey Packs Kestrel 32 Daypack - 1800-2000cu in
October 26, 2008
The hip belt is not removable & I'd say it would be great for a school pack.
I checked out this pack at a local retailer - it's quality thats for sure. Although it's a bit to large to be a school pack.

Ecco USA, Inc Karda Shoe - Men's
October 15, 2008
I wore these shoes the entire fall, spring and summer! I love them. I forget to take them off when I am lounging -yes they are that comfortable. These are a mesh shoe and it may be hard to tell by the pic so know before you buy. I love the lace system. I love them so much I ordered another pair - something I've never done before order the exact same pair. I don't have any issue with arch support - but other reviewers on other sites mention it. In my opinion these shoes are worth it even if you need to purchase a second insole for arch support. The soles of these shoes are a soft grippy rubber -They flex you can feel the ground not in a rough sort of way more of an in control comfortable way. If you are looking for a summer, spring, (maybe)fall shoe I recommend these - or haven't you guessed. The best item you could wear with these is a pair of smart wool socks - they go together hand and hand - or no socks at all the mesh lets them breath amazing!

Mountain Hardwear Quark Jacket - Men's
October 13, 2008
Absolutely waterproof, 10oz with pit zips, two pockets, and an interior pocket. Have had for 3 months now and I get complimented all the time. I just wish it had spandex in the sleeve cuffs but no biggie. If you get this jacket just know that the brim is meant to be folded in towards forehead when not wearing a hood or a hat. You may want to size up. So yu can decide I'm 5'9.5 and 155lbs and the medium is perfect any bigger I'd size up to A large, as I'm cutting it close. I really love this jacket I'm sure you will as well. No problems with any snags yet. The meterial is really light but it's holding up great!

Mountain Hardwear Micro Chill Zip Tee - Men's
September 12, 2008
It's a poor quality item, and they slapped Mountain Hardwear on it. Opened the box took one look at it and sent it back. This is the second MH item in the lat 3 months that turned out to be garbage. I've lost trust in the brand.

The North Face Cat's Meow Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Climashield Prism
September 5, 2008
Great this s the bag for you. I think the reviewer that complained it's a 30 degree bag was being generous! I'd say more like 40 degrees. If you get it = you better get used to sleeping in your coat - oh yes and bring along a scarf and mitts to sleep in as well. What a scam calling this a 20 degree bag. Then again what do you expect from The North face? Consistently over hyped, over priced outdoor poser shreck.

3 season side sleeper dream in short.
Big Agnes Air Core Sleeping Pad
July 14, 2008
The short Aircore in at 16oz folds TINY. I'm a 5"10 side sleeper and the short has me covered. USE A TAPE MEASURE measure your length sleeping if your a side sleeper, you might like what you find. Long story short I used the aircore hiking and camping for 5 days in wyoming tetons. It worked down to 38, harder or softer, no big deal add some air, lose some air. Filling it aint a big deal. It takes a few minutes - unless your in a race who cares. If you are in a race you save on the weight anyway. It all works out. It was comfortable. It comes with a patch repair kit - havnt used it. I love it and I hope it lasts.
