MontBell America, Inc. Ultralight Thermawrap Jacket - Men's
5 days ago
Light, Check! Warm, Check! Stylish, Check! So I tried this on and then slapped on a Mammut ultimate Hoodie. THE PERFECT combination for living in the PNW! Warm and dry! The new design brings some much needed elasticity to the waist and the cuff. This is by far my favorite jacket! I love it so much I am going to get the vest!

So Climing Mt Dickerman in the PNW and get to the summit and see this guy in this uber light jacket in its tinsy winsy stuff sack. I had to ask, then I had to get one! Works PEFECT under a Mammut Ultimate Hoodie with a smart wool top under that. Toasty warm and light. Can you say smart summiting. I knew you could. I was so light I thought I would need a string tied to my ankle!

Arc'teryx Gamma SV Vest - Men's
September 23, 2008
HUGH arm holes that looked like some kinda costume. I bought this thinking surely the reviews are not that accurate! WRONG. They were. Good thing about backcountry.com is that there is no fuss no muss with returns. This puppy went back and I am trying to work out what to get instead.

Marmot Limelight 3-Person Tent w/ Footprint and Gear Loft
August 7, 2008
I spent a lot of time looking for something packable but that would also accomodate my 6'4" frame. The first night I put a full size air bed in here and slept like a baby. The next nights we schleping in. A little heavier than some but light enough that the extra space was worth it. Love the two entrances. Lots of ventilation. Packs up nice and easy!

GSI Outdoor Gourmet Backpacking Cook System
July 29, 2008
This was a far cry from the flying saucer wing nut crapola from my boy scout days! This was perfect for me and a friend to trek in. I was able to carry all my utensils and cooking needs in the pot with everything else. I even carried eggs in the sealed cup and used tea bags to cushion them. All arrived safely! this with a MSR Dragonfly was dreamy. Well and I take a Jetboil for my coffee fix as well. And the "sink" is a really nice addition! Well done.

CW-X LifeFit Box-Cut Brief - Men's
July 29, 2008
So if you are like me and you are in between Med and Lg in your undies selection, well size down for these. I needed a tech underwear that would keep me dry and prevent heat rash and other um...uncomfortable scenarios resulting from heat and moisture. These work PERFECT and protect the inner and upper thigh from rash. Highly recommend. This is my go to brand for any activity that involves sweat. They keep me dry and happy.
