Love 'em

Norrøna Svalbard Flex1 Softshell Pant - Men's

Norrøna Svalbard Flex1 Softshell Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 14, 2011

Love the pants. Been using them for a week straight in Patagonia. I would like to buy another pair but they're out of the size and color I want.

In response to the other poster, in no way are they water proof; they are a softshell pant with no lining. They'll be fine in a light rain etc but under sustained conditions they'll soak through (as you'd expect from a softshell). Yesterday I was kneeling in a bog and my knee got wet. It happens; they dry fast.

I am very happy with these pants and am going to have to find another source for a 2nd pair.

Pretty great, but I need more time with it

Arc'teryx Sidewinder SV Jacket - Men's

Arc'teryx Sidewinder SV Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 February 2, 2009

Used this jacket last weekend in Zermatt. Had blizzard conditions on the first day and the Sidewinder performed wonderfully.

I have three complains that I consider minor:
1. The rubberized zippers are difficult to zip up one handed, especially the main zipper as it negotiates the curve.
2. I'd like a pocket on my left wrist.
3. The hood is difficult to adjust with gloves on.

I haven't used it enough yet to say that I love it, so 4 stars for now.

Too small

Black Diamond Bandit AvaLung Package

Black Diamond Bandit AvaLung Package

Rating for this product: 3 February 2, 2009

I should have bought the next size up. I have no clue how I'm supposed to attach skis to this.

I won't fit a sweater or anything; some small nicknacks, climbing skins, and a couple power bars is about it. It's all about what you want I suppose.

Not bad for the money

Spyder Force Pant - Men's

Spyder Force Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 February 2, 2009

They're not bad. Like others have said they are cut traditionally. For the money they're tough to beat. At twice the price, the Davos is 3 times the pant, but these are pretty good for the money.

Got it to compliment by Arcteryx Sidewinder jacket. Color seems to be represented correctly to me; might be the dude's monitor.

It's a hat; it's not rocket science.

I'm not sure if this is carry on size myself, but it works great and fits plenty of clothing for a week trip. Taking it to Africa in June.
