Great helmet, great company

Black Diamond Half Dome Helmet

I got one of these years back and have always loved it. It's light, comfy, and sits low on my head. I have found the headlamp clips invaluable more than once.

Unfortunately, the chinstrap on mine busted (ironically hit by a falling rock while the helmet was sitting on the ground).

Fortunately, I live in SLC close to BD headquarters. I took it in to their warranty department with a small hope that they'd still cover it. They didn't, which is reasonable. The product was not defective and I had owned it for several years.

They did offer me a new helmet at wholesale though. I snatched that up in a heartbeat.

So yeah, I'm a BD fanboy. They make great gear, they stand behind it, and they treat their customers well.
