Fantastic Board

Rating for this product: 5 May 4, 2009

I'm 5'-11"/175lb and went with the 158. I'm very happy with this baby. I came from a 162 Allian Chalet, but wanted to go a bit shorter so that I could have some more fun in the park. The amount of pop this thing has compared to my old board is unreal. I'm clearing tables with ease now that I couldn't clear before when I was bombing the hill.

Going from a 162 to a 158 was a little squirley for me at first, but after a half day of riding out at the Canyons in Park City, I felt very comfortable on the board. The base held up well to a few dings that I remember hearing it hit, which is always a good thing (my Allian took a huge blow to the edge the first season I had it out and was never the same). Fantastic board, gets my full recommendation for park, groomers, and powder.

Broke My Valve Stem

Cutter Glycerin Floor Pump

Cutter Glycerin Floor Pump

Rating for this product: 2 May 4, 2009

I originally gave this pump a 4/5 star rating, but I've got to change it. I've always had two issues with the nozzle on this pump. 1) as my previous review stated, it's hard to get the nozzle to close on the valve. And now, 2) once you have the nozzle on the valve, it wants to grip it, and you have to manipulate it to get the nozzle off--it doesn't want to let you pull it straight off, and has quite a bit of resistance to coming off. The other day, this became a real problem for me because my presta valve stem actually broke off in the nozzle. A pump is not supposed to do that, hence the 2-star rating. I'll be sending this pump back to BC and getting something else.

A little tricky

Cutter Glycerin Floor Pump

Cutter Glycerin Floor Pump

Rating for this product: 4 February 20, 2009

This is a good looking pump, that inflates really easily. But, I've found it a little tricky to get the nozzle to close on the valve. You have to twist it to close it instead of flip it. Plus, you have to twist it one way to close it on a schraeder and the other to close it on a presta. It all works, it's just a little confusing.

They Are LARGE

Salomon Snowclog - Men's

Salomon Snowclog - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 January 27, 2009

The shoes themselves are fantastic. I live in Chicago and mostly use them for my commute, but also have thrown them on to head around town with friends. Based on that, this is a 5-star rating. Unfortunately, Solomon did a terrible job of sizing these things. I've worn a size 11 for years and these things came and are just plain too big. I'd venture to say that a size 10 would fit me perfectly (though I've made do with my 11's). The only justification I can think of for why Salomon would have made these shoes so large for their size is to give you room to wear heavy socks under them. Either way, I think even if they were quite a bit smaller, I could still squeeze heavy socks into them comfortably.
