'I STILL Feel Good'
Salomon Mega Trek 6 Light WP Hiking Boot - Men's
August 26, 2008
I've had them for nearly 3 months now and I have no regrets so far. As I've already said, they were comfortable straight out of the box, and to my delight, I never really felt like I was breaking them in, which was a nice change. I was initially a bit concerned because they didn't carry the GORETEX badge, but don't let that put you off! I've walked through mud, traipsed through snow, even completely submerged them in streams and my feet have remained dry. The sole grips well and the ankle support has, on more than one occasion, saved me from injury. They even felt good when I had to sprint away from a herd of charging cattle (although I doubt that Usain Bolt will take any notice). Considering what I've put them through so far, they still look and feel like new. As such, I can only surmise that as long as you look after them properly and re-proof them every now and again, they'll take good care of you. M.

'I Feel Good' (Maybe James Brown bought Salomon?)
Salomon Mega Trek 6 Light WP Hiking Boot - Men's
June 11, 2008
I bought a pair of these 2 days ago and I'm very impressed. My feet aren't particularly big, small, wide or narrow, just a decidedly average size 9.5(UK). From the moment I laced them up they felt extremely comfortable with no signs of rubbing or pinching. The lace-lock feature is very handy and allows for a lot of adjustment to find the perfect fit. For obvious reasons I can't yet rate their performance but I'm quietly confident. I'll update this review next month after they've received their baptism of fire in Romania. M.
