Bio:
I grew up in Vermont and New Hampshire and moved to Utah to ski "da deep powdah."
I have skied everywhere in the east coast but my favorite resorts there are Stowe, Jay Peak and of course Whaleback. I am a big fan of reverse camber skis (because camber hates freedom). The reason I am such a fan is best summed when I once heard someone describe the transition as being like switching from a rigid mountain bike to a full suspension. Its just a smoother ride.
I usually can be found lounging on the tram dock at Snowbird. Once in a while I ride the tram and ski back down. But it is not that much fun and I definitely wouldn't recommend it.
Other than skiing I also enjoy rock climbing, mountain biking, camping and going to see live music.

Marker Duke/Jester 132mm Brake
September 16, 2008
Just mounted them with Griffons on my ARG's and they work fine.
____________________________________________________________
No,They just work with the Marker Duke or Marker Jester.
------------------------------------------------------
Actually that is not true. This binding can be used on any of the new style Marker bindings (Jester, Duke, Barron or Griffon). If the fat boys your picking up are still wider than 130 mm at the waist (for example the Armada ARG or the Moment Comi-Kazi) it is very simple to bend the brakes to fit the wider ski. Any competent repair shop will be able to do that for a small fee, or if you would like to do it yourself here is a helpful video showing brakes being bent on a pair of Spatula's (the original reverse camber ski):

Answer to: "how do they hold up in the park"
Marker Griffon Ski Bindings
September 9, 2008
This is a new version of the Marker Jester ski binding which, last year, was the first ever truly park specific ski binding. While other companies would offer "jib" bindings, they were no different then other bindings except for maybe a rubber vibration absorption plate.
The Griffon is different then the Jester in that it has a smaller spring to accommodate lighter skiers who require a smaller DIN.
For park and freestyle riding the Griffon is flat (no incline ramp) so skiing backwards is more natural. It also has a wider platform for bigger skis and for smoother landings. It will definitely "hold up" in the park.

The North Face Denali Fleece Jacket - Men's
September 5, 2008
A great companion shell for The North Face Denali Fleece Jacket is the Venture Jacket also from The North Face. If you use the Venture as a shell you will be waterproof, and have a hood, but you will also have the Denali to insulate your body and keep you warm.

I bet you are looking for a jacket that you can zip the denali into which is the North Face Mountain Light Jacket.

As a team, the The North Face Denali and Venture are unstoppable.

The North Face Terra 60 Backpack - 3700-3850cu in
August 29, 2008
The decision between a backpack like The North Face Terra 60 Backpack and using rolling gear bag or suitcase (for example...http://www.dogfunk.com/dogfunk/group/308/Rolling-G
I think most European Travelers use backpacks.
You are right, volume number is the capacity of the bag. The majority of backpacks we sell display this information in either cubic inches (cu in) or liters (L).
The North Face Terra 60 Backpack comes in two sizes. A medium at 3700 cu in and a large at 3850 cu in. These are referring to how long the pack is and you should determine that based on how tall you are or more specifically how long your torso is.
If you click the "View Sizing Chart" link which is right under the price and to the left of the main product picture you will be able to figure out how to measure your torso.

The North Face Venture Jacket - Men's
August 25, 2008
No. The hood on The North Face Venture jacket is not concealable. It is just a part of the collar. It looks cooler that way anyways. I think "concealed hoods" are just too bulky to be comfortable or stylish.

Columbia Roc ll Jacket - Men's
August 19, 2008
I know it is hard to tell from the pictures. I just went and looked at our inventory. I would describe the "silver sage" color of the Columbia Roc ll Jacket as being lighter, more silvery, almost khaki. While the "sage" color is a dark gray. I hope this helps.

The North Face Pamir WindStopper Fleece Jacket - Men's
August 19, 2008
The North Face Pamir WindStopper Fleece Jacket is a great jacket that will definitely help your son stay warm this winter, especially when used in conjunction with his shell from The North Face. The Windwall 2 Fleece Jacket will also work well. They are pretty much identical jackets. With the main difference being that the Pamir Windstopper uses a fabric designed and manufactured by Gore (of the legendary Gore-Tex fame) while the Windwall 2 uses The North Face's own version of the same fabric that is comparable but not as good (hence the price difference).
To be honest, in very cold environments I prefer the insulating warmth of either down or a synthetic down such as Primaloft. Such as:

Full Tilt Bumble Bee Ski Boot - Men's
August 19, 2008
You don't HAVE to heat mold the Intuition Liners that are used in the Full Tilt Bumble Bee Ski boot. Some people prefer to just let the natural heat of athletic movement "break in" the boot, which should take about a week of general use. If you don't have that much time then definitely heat up the liners in your oven and then slip on the boot to mold it to the exact shape of your foot. There is no better way to get a custom fit.

Oakley A Frame Goggle w/ High Intensity Lens
August 12, 2008
Most helmets are goggle compatible, but yours might be a bit different. If you really like these goggles, I'd snag a pair and try them on with your helmet. If they don't work, simply return it.
Give Smith Optics a try. I think they produce a significantly superior quality product for a better price.
-------------------------------------
Obviously every goggle will not fit with every helmet. The best way is to buy the goggles and helmets from the same manufacturer. That being said the Oakley A-Frame Goggle is what Shaun White wears with his helmet. So if it's good enough for gold medalists, then its probably good enough for you. See pic:

Black Diamond Fritschi Diamir Freeride Plus Binding
August 11, 2008
For the Black Diamond Fritschi Diamir Freeride Plus Binding I would suggest the small for your girlfriend. Usually a ski boot's shell size is printed on the bottom or sole of the shell. Heck, depending on how ambitious you are feeling you could even break out the ol' tape measure. The boot sole length is just measured from the tip to the tail of the ski boot in millimeters (mm).
