These jackets have whats considered an athletic fit, narrow waist, narrower shoulders, tighter chest. It is shorter also in length so that it does not get caught in the way of activities.

The Tailgate is not going to be able to open as fully as it should with the rack in place, it will work, but the tailgate won't reach its maximum openess with the rack in place.

Boot flexion is really on a personal preference base. Some people like em soft for all mtn, some like them stiff all mtn. It just comes down to what you like, typically a softer boot is for park and a stiffer more responsive boot is for all mtn riding, but again, personal preference.
