The North Face El Norte Down Jacket - Men's

I gave this coat to my boyfriend as an early Christmas gift. We took it for a spin when walking the dog last night in 10 degree weather. Boyfriend said it kept him warm and he didn't feel the least bit cold, despite him only having a t-shirt underneath the coat!

The coat does seem a bit boxy, and I think he may have been able to size down. He's 5 foot 10, and weighs about 165 pounds. I got him a Medium in the graphite gray. Speaking of the gray color, it does appear lighter in person. I expected it to look like a charcoal gray, but we both thought it looked more like a faded gray. He's keeping it, it's just not the color I expected.

Staple in my "after work" wardrobe

The North Face TKA 100 Glacier 1/4 Zip Fleece Top - Long-Sleeve - Women's

I bought this fleece in black a year ago for a trip to San Francisco in early December. I ended up wearing it nearly every day over my fitted t-shirts while I was out there. It was the perfect light, layering piece. I wouldn't necessarily consider this a jacket. If you are looking for more of a fleece jacket, go with the Denali. One year later, I am still getting a ton of use out of this fleece. It holds up so much better than the cheap-o fleeces from Old Navy. The black Old Navy fleece I bought at the same time is already pilling and ratty looking- headed for the garbage. But my NF Glacier fleece looks like new, after much more wear! I'm already looking for new colors to add to my wardrobe. Also going to buy one for my brother's bday.
