Trk Poles

Life-Link Smoky Mountain Anti-Shock Trekking Pole - 1 Pair

Life-Link Smoky Mountain Anti-Shock Trekking Pole - 1 Pair

Rating for this product: 4 July 7, 2008

Life savers up and downhill in the Smokies. I use 'em like cross country ski poles when skating, that is together instead of alternating, but not much on flat ground. Saved my feet and knees for sure, without shortening ever. Only con is the extra noise.

Bite bottle

CamelBak Better Bottle w/ Bite Valve - 1L

CamelBak Better Bottle w/ Bite Valve - 1L

Rating for this product: 5 July 7, 2008

Love the bit valve, but already used to it in my day hiking and mtn biking camelbak backpack. Refilled directly into it from streams & lakes after running the water through a Sweetwater microfilter and adding a few chlorine drops. Bit valve allows more water conservation. Fit my REI Internal Frame pack outer mesh pocket no problem.

Classic Top

CamelBak Better Bottle w/ Classic Cap - 1L

CamelBak Better Bottle w/ Classic Cap - 1L

Rating for this product: 3 July 7, 2008

Holds water w/o leaking but no good way to pour or suck it out like most water bottles. Get the bite valve instead, also BPA free.
