I love this tent

Big Agnes Fly Creek UL1 Ultra Light Tent: 1-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 4 December 29, 2010

I used this tent for 2 hikes in 2010- the Tahoe Rim Trail and the High Sierra trail. 30 days and 250 miles and I love this tent! I do not understand the poor reviews and how anyone would find it challenging to set up. I've had rain, sleet and below freezing temps with no problems. I bought the footprint and the attic for storage and the total weight is still only 2lbs 7ozs. Entering feet first is recommended with the door on the end. I will use this tent next summer on the Colorado Trail.

MontBell U.L. Super Spiral Hugger #5 Down Sleeping Bag: 40 Degree

MontBell U.L. Super Spiral Hugger #5 Down Sleeping Bag: 40 Degree

Rating for this product: 1 August 15, 2010

If you really want a 40 degree bag- keep looking!I bought this bag for the Tahoe Rim Trail, July in the Sierras-no problem! The 15 day hike had the temps at 43-50f degrees. I have always been a warm sleeper-only shorts at night. I had to wear long pants with shorts underneath, long sleeve shirt, socks, fleece hat and gloves- and I was still cold!I really wanted to like this bag due to the 1lb. weight, but is not not even close to the 40 degree rating.I will go back to my Sierra Designs Nitro 30 which I will sweat in and has never let me down- and it is only seven ounces more.

Black Diamond Firstlight Tent: 2-Person 4-Season

May 29, 2010

I purchase last years Black Diamond HighLite II and will not use it until July. Should I be concerned with the other reviews stating the rain comes right through the single wall fabric? Can I apply a waterproofing agent? If so, whick type? Thanks.
