Good but not great

Mountain Hardwear Hammerhead 2 Tent 2-Person 3-Season

Mountain Hardwear Hammerhead 2 Tent 2-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 3 July 22, 2009

I purchased the Hammerhead 2 a year or so ago, and I have been on several car camping weekends with it. The tent is structurally sound and there is fair amount of room inside. The two person tent is just that, but barely. It is not exactly light, and the dimensions of the tent when packed is a little too big for my liking.

Overall, for the money the tent is not bad. I think I will be looking for a lighter tent in the coming months though.

Osprey Packs Argon 70 Backpack - 4300-4700cu in

Osprey Packs Argon 70 Backpack - 4300-4700cu in

Rating for this product: 5 July 17, 2009

I love this pack. I was looking for the best pack I could get for extended trips, and this is it. This feature rich pack has everything one needs in a pack (minus an included rain cover). The pack is somewhat comfortable at first, but after a bit of time with it on it really molds to your back. I do not regret this purchase one bit. I got the Kemp colour and I absolutely love it. Way better then the mustard, that's for sure.bottom line, fully recommended, without a doubt a great purchase.

heluva bag!

Mountain Hardwear Ultralamina 15 Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Synthetic

Mountain Hardwear Ultralamina 15 Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Synthetic

Rating for this product: 4 July 17, 2009

Grabbed this bag a little while back, just had my first experience with it and I am very pleased. The bag is perfect for those cool summer mornings. I got the long version and it has ample space for my legs (6'1). The water repellent material is amazing and very useful. If there was one thing that I might change it would be the size of the inside pocket, I really don't see why MH would make it so small, doesn't make sense.

Bottomline, great bag for the money. I would recommend.

Osprey Packs Argon 85 Backpack - 5100-5500cu in

May 14, 2009

I am planning on doing some extensive traveling through the south pacific and asia hopefully for a year or so. I love the look of this pack but I am wondering about correct sizing.
I am 6 ft + and about 180lbs (athletic type build). Would this pack be suitable and in what size?

Thanks!
