Great Jacket!

The North Face S.T.H. II Softshell Jacket - Men's

The North Face S.T.H. II Softshell Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 June 15, 2009

I bought this jacket to wear to work on days where it was blowing like crazy, as well as to use when I go snowboarding on warmer days. This jacket is super-warm and functions well by itself, or as an inner layer on freezing days. The fleece inside is nice as well, all around great jacket. I found that the length of the arms in this jacket are longer than my S.T.H. that I bought about 4 years ago. I'm a regular length for all of my other jackets, but this one just seems to be 2" too long in the arm. It keeps me warm and fits snugly under myy gloves so I can't complain.

Gret socks!

The North Face Snowboard Light Sock - Men's

The North Face Snowboard Light Sock - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 June 15, 2009

Warm, comfy socks...they fit well and don't fall down during the day while out on the grind. Some of my snowboard socks started to chafe the back of my calfs, but I haven't had that problem since purchasing these. They rock!

Best Pants for the Price

The North Face Freedom Pant - Men's

The North Face Freedom Pant - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 June 15, 2009

I've purchased a lot of snowpants that couldn't stand up to the grind I put them through over the past 10 years. The North Face Freedom pants have though! They fit perfectly, I have a medium/athletic build, but am a shorter guy. The regular length fit me perfectly, no more wet heels! I own 3 pairs of these pants, they dry quickly and the vents on the side of the legs are especially helpful on warmer days.

Kelty Deuce Binto

Kelty Deuce Binto - 2600cu in

Kelty Deuce Binto - 2600cu in

Rating for this product: 4 June 15, 2009

Kelty's entire line of Binto products rock and this one isn't too shabby. It held plenty of supplies and clothes during a 3-4 day camping excursion. It's light to carry and has hooks so you can grab a shoulder strap for it to make it easier to lug around. The corners have a reinforcement in them that is supposed to make it freestanding, but unless you've packed it full, it's not 'freestanding'. I wish it came with a shoulder strap, but you have to purchase that separately. Those are the only faults I can find with it, which is why I gave it 4/5 stars...still highly recommended though!

Yellowstone 6 Footprint

Kelty Yellowstone 6 Footprint

Kelty Yellowstone 6 Footprint

Rating for this product: 3 June 15, 2009

Upon seeing the price of the footprint for the Kelty Yellowstone 6, I really thought I could just purchase a tarp from a hardware store for the same amount of protection. Since Backcountry had it for a percentage off the MSRP, I purchased it. It works great and attaches perfectly to the tent. I've only used it for a 3 day camping trip so far, but it kept the bottom of the tent protected from the terrain and provided a decent barrier from the wet ground. It was easy to clean when we returned home as well. I'd recommend it, I just can't believe I bought a footprint that was 1/4 of the price of the tent.

Pretty Good Tent For the Price

Kelty Yellowstone 6 Tent 6-Person 3-Season

Kelty Yellowstone 6 Tent 6-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 5 June 15, 2009

I've sworn by Kelty tents since I was a boy scout a long time ago and this one is no different. We bought this tent to replace a Kelty Gunnison 2, which was an awesome tent, but we needed more room for when we take the nieces camping with us. We've only used this tent for a 3 day trip to the woods so far and have been as pleased as can be. We arrived to the camp late, in pitch black conditions with a headlamp, the setup took me and a buddy about 15 minutes. It kept us dry during a brief downpour one night, and provided excellent ventilation. I noticed that the zipper gets stuck if you're not paying attention, but that's the only fault I noticed. This tent is great for car camping and wooded adventures alike!
