Bio:
I have been fascinated with the outdoors ever since I was younger when I was first introduced to camping. I am currently 22 and have lived in central Illinois the vast majority of my life.
My heart lies in the alpine world and I find myself feeling most alive when I'm moving fast and light on a big backcountry mission!

Black Diamond Mission 75 Backpack - 4455-4699cu in
October 6, 2011
Hey Nick, I don't own the mission 75 but I do have an epic 45 and I believe the install is the same. Just thread the straps through from the additional fabric piece as shown in my picture in skiandrock's question above. As far as your inquiry regarding "back support", I can't picture what you are meaning but the suspension system is state of the art and would be most beneficial if left as is. Happy trails!

La Sportiva Trango S EVO GTX Mountaineering Boot - Men's
January 24, 2010
Hi Ryan, I too am from IL so I feel your pain. I just moved out to Colorado towards the end of December and anticipate climbing many 14ers this summer. I've tried on both the Expert Gvs and the Trango S Evo and I feel like this is a much superior boot. If you have a chance though try these guys on in a store. I'm normally a size 11 (44.5) but the 45 ended up fitting better for some reason. Although the color scheme is a little crazy, you just can't beat it's flexibility and for climbing 14ers, I don't think you can find a better boot on the market. See you on the trails!

Arc'teryx Atom LT Hooded Insulated Jacket - Men's
January 24, 2010
Hey Offyatree, I'd say it's true to size. I wear smalls in everything Arcteryx and it remains true for this jacket. This is my favorite piece in my arsenal and either size you're sure to love it. Think about your uses though, are you going to be climbing with it? If so do you have enough room in the sleeves with the small? If you're going to wear a hoodie with the small, it would make sense to wear the hoodie and go try it on one more time to see if you're still comfortable with the small and the sleeves don't feel bunched. It also wouldn't hurt to bring your shell and see how the whole system feels together. Good luck to you!

Arc'teryx Atom LT Hooded Insulated Jacket - Men's
December 3, 2009
Hi Chu,
I checked with the bc.com gear experts and they confirmed that none are currently on order and they do not have any estimate on when one may come into stock. I also checked the Arc'teryx website and it showed that it could not locate a Teak XXL in any of their online dealers inventories. I'd suggest running a google product search and checking from time to time if you're dead set on the color Teak, otherwise you can get that size in every other color now. Good luck!

Marmot Hydrogen Sleeping Bag: 30 Degree Down
June 21, 2009
Hi there June! Sorry about the late response but I was just reading over and thought I'd still try and help. It appears to be a typo on bc's list as the manufacturers site says 147cm which is roughly 58 inches in circumference(regular)for the hips. All of the 2008 models now have a full zip and the half zip is no longer offered. Happy trails :)

MSR Alpine Folding Utensils
September 16, 2008
I've never had any issues with the plastic becoming heat deformed or anything from cooking via frying pan on a fire or stove. I haven't tested holding it directly over a roaring open fire but I don't really see why you would be doing that anyway! Hope this helps.
