The North Face Crestone 75 Backpack - 4300-4880cu in

The North Face Crestone 75 Backpack - 4300-4880cu in

Rating for this product: 5 June 17, 2009

I used my recently purchased Crestone 75 twice already on trips to SC/NC mountains and have nothing but praise for its ability to haul stuff, comfortable fit, looks and finish. If packed smartly, you can fit clothing for several days, 100 oz filled hydration bladder, sleeping pad, light tent, sleeping bag (ultralight), compack stove and more and still hike for several miles without much back discomfort. Great pack indeed.

Katadyn Pocket Water Microfilter

Katadyn Pocket Water Microfilter

Rating for this product: 5 June 17, 2009

I used the Pocket microfilter during my hiking/camping trip in the SC/NC mountains and it worked great. The construction is very solid and easy to use. Though, re-filling my 100 oz. hydration bladder took considerable effort and time. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a solid and dependable water filter who also wants to build up some arm muscle.

The North Face Manta Ray 33 Tent 3-Person 3-Season

The North Face Manta Ray 33 Tent 3-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 5 June 17, 2009

I purchased this tent few weeks ago and used it during my hiking/camping trip to Jones Gap Sate Park in SC. Hiked 16 miles in 2 days and this tent packs very light indeed. Set-up and take-down were also a breeze. Lots of space for 2 + gear, 3 + gear might be little tight. I liked the built-in gear loft and the 2 large vestibules. Overall, a great tent if you want to pack light.
