I am a Costa Rican who loves nature and sports, some of my hobbies are play basketball, play soccer, watch movies, read, digital photography, travel, hiking and canopy.

Since I like to travel a lot, I take advantage of this to do hiking and take tons of pictures of the places I visit.

Things for hiking trips through the rain forest here in Costa Rica. During the winter the rain can be really hard so you need to be prepared with a lot of waterproof gear.

Awesome Marmot Tirol 30 Backpack

I got this backpack a few weeks ago and I must say, I love it. It is exactly what I was looking for, it is very light, you can fit a lot of stuff in it and it has a rain cover, which is awesome, because I live in the rain forest, so I needed a backpack that I could put my camera in and other stuff when doing hiking that I knew things will not get all wet. It looks good too! No complains so far!

Teva Makayla Shoe

I bought a pair of Teva Makayla Shoes a while ago. I loved the shoes, they are really good quality, very comfortable and eco-friendly. This were my first Teva, so to make sure I had the size right, I checked the sizing chart and I compared the size in CM with a pair of Keen I bought before. My Keen size 8.5 are 25.4, so if you check the sizing chart for Teva, you will see that 25.4 cm is actually size 9, so I get size 9, but it turns out the size 9 is actually almost 28 cm, so they are too big for me, I should have bought not even 8.5 but 8 instead. In conclusion, I can say that the shoes are great, but the sizing chart here is wrong, so be aware of that. I also agree that the elastic strap is extremely tight and since it is not adjustable that's a problem.

I bought a pair of these boots and I love the fact that they are completely waterproof, no matter how hard is raining or how wet the road is, your feet will be dry all the time. I did an ATV tour last year and they got all muddy, so a guy took one of those high pressure hose and spray a lot of water on them (I was still wearing them) and they didn't got wet inside, it was amazing. Also, they are very comfortable! I love them!!

They are not very heavy, in my opinion they have the perfect weight for you to walk and to not feel like you are not wearing anything. If you are 39 European, you would need a 8.5, that is my size actually. Hope this helps!!
