Stoic Tour Softshell Pant - Men's

October 21, 2009

who the hell is stoic? =)
i can't find anything on the net about their products besides BC and explore64.
The pants looks great though, how do you think they will do for alpine road biking?
They look similar-ly made, to the cutter knickers. from the stitching, zips, buttons pockets and material. Which would be great because those knickers are some of the best there are.

Arc'teryx Fission SV Jacket - Men's

Arc'teryx Fission SV Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 2 September 8, 2008

As most reviews will read, this is an amazing jacket. but most people do not know that most all the spring 2008 and on products are/will be made in china.
arc'teryx was bought out by salomon and outsourced almost all production. i am searching hard for a black 2007 handmade canadian F-SV.
all products that use "new" gore-tex materials I.E(gore-tex pro)are very most likely not northamerican made.

SOG Knives Twitch XL Knife

SOG Knives Twitch XL Knife

Rating for this product: 5 September 2, 2008

being a long user of CRKT knives, i was hesitant to buy this knife because of the large price difference between manufacturers.
i'm very happy i bought this because it has very quickly become my favorite knife.
scalpel sharp blade that hasn't lost it's edge in 6 months. amazingly smooth action with a crisp lock that will have you flicking it in your spare time. simple and very effective locking mechanism that lets you lock it open or closed. great feel and balance. it has abit of a heft to it but feels like it'd last a life time. very fast and easy one handed operation.
i guess the only complaints i'd have about this blade is price and weight.
but as with most things in life, you get what you pay for and a good knife is worth it's weight in gold.

Fi'zi:k Arione K-1 Tech Wing Flex Road Saddle

Fi'zi:k Arione K-1 Tech Wing Flex Road Saddle

Rating for this product: 1 August 24, 2008

I've been wanting to try a "full carbon" seat for a long time so i figured that i would try my friends.
besides that it costs ~400 it also feels like your sitting on your top tube.
im not kidding when i make fun of him about future impotence problems.
i could only imagine using this for short times with a very heavy chamois.
there are lighter seats out there that actually have abit of padding. do the right thing, don't go under ~190g and keep it padded.
the doctor bills your saving is worth much more then the 50 grams.
