K2 Hellbent Alpine Ski

April 2, 2009

No, it won't. Since it is rockered the ski will ski a lot shorter than 179. I bought a pair of 191 scott p4's thinking they would probably be to big for me and they turned out perfect. I am also 6' 3" and weigh 190. If I were you I would try and demo them. Also it would be helpful if you posted your skiing ability because I know a couple of years ago I couldn't have handled something as big as the 191.

Fischer Addict Pro Alpine Ski

February 25, 2009

The binding I personally use and recommend for park riding would be the Marker Jester or Griffon (Griffon if you're a lighter rider). They're extremely lightweight and allow for great flex on the ski. Also they extremely durable and bombproof, I have them on 3 different skis and they never let me down, even on my big-mountain ski.The PX-12 is a solid option as well, I'm just personally not a huge fan of Look/Rossi or Salomon bindings.I am a bigger fan of look(dynastar, rossi) bindings over the any other because I have never had a problem popping out, with your weight you need to get some look px-12's and crank them up to 10 and you will be set. I have my marker jesters at 11 on my scott P4's (107 underwaist) and have poped out a couple times and have been lucky that I havent gotten hurt.

DAKINE Heli Pro 16L Backpack - 1000cu in

January 21, 2009

There's a difference of 4L. But the weight difference is negligible. Not to mention the bigger size is made for bigger people, I think.

DAKINE Heli Pro 16L Backpack - 1000cu in

January 21, 2009

Pretty wide. What kind of skis are you thinking about throwing back there? My scott p4's fit back there and they have a 131 tail and fit in fine, with both of them together sliding in, perhaps a little tough but still plenty of leeweigh. The biggest problem I could foresee would be if you have a twin tip rockerd' ski and try and put them in both at once. I don't think you would have a problem if you slid one in then the other because the combination of the rocker and huge tails could perhaps create a problem. But again slide them in singly and you should be fine, no to mention that you should get the 20L this pack is amazing, enjoy it, it rocks balls!

Joystick Spicolli Ski Pole

January 20, 2009

Yeah they are better, a lot stiffer as well. All the k2 poles that I have tried out are flimsy at crap. This pole imo is the only thing that is compairable to scotts. Since you are getting park poles get the smallest size available.

Scott P4 Alpine Ski

December 12, 2008

Just go back a few cm.The reason you are seeing the first number out of place is because the recommended mounting position is something like 6 cm back. I found the core center and put mine 2 cm back from exact center of ski. the plus 5 would be pretty close to that if the person was going from the recommended mounting point.

Hestra Heli Glove

Hestra Heli Glove

Rating for this product: 5 November 11, 2008

I bought these gloves for colder days obviously. They are amazing. My hands never got cold or wet. I bought these over the army patrol gloves because i like my cuffs on the outside of my jacket. IMO this and the patrol glove are the only two serious choices for serious skiers or snowboarders. I wont ever get cold. Hestras quality is far superior to any that I have seen. I bought my gf a pair of bd patrol gloves and my hestras are just a step above. They are no joke. Get em if you want to be core, jong.

amazing pack but long skis diagonal problem

DAKINE Heli Pro 20 - 1200cu in

DAKINE Heli Pro 20 - 1200cu in

Rating for this product: 4 May 15, 2008

I absolutly love this pack with all my heart. You can proably read from the other reviews how awesome it is and how many pockets it has. But if anyone was to say anything about it it would have to be either the hydration sleeve or the diagonal ski carrier. The hydration sleeve makes it hard for the insertion of camel back water bags, but once you got it in no big deal. The thing that upset me would have to be the diagonal ski carrier. When Hiking crags at jackson the path hikes clockwise around the mountain making your skis face over your left shoulder right where trees are. Not going to be a porblem this year because i pry won't ski jackson again. Love the pack nothing better just a small concern.
