Nalgene Wide Mouth Water Bottle - 32oz

Nalgene Wide Mouth Water Bottle - 32oz

I've always loved these things, I had one a few years ago and ended up putting some angel hair pasta with a heavy marinara sauce in it for lunch. Well... my loose minded self forgot about it after it was half finished and thrown in the trunk of my car for... ohhh at least 2 months. I considered throwing it away, but why would you throw an item like this out? I threw the thing in my dishwasher after a quick rinse while holding my breath, and the thing came out perfect. No taste of who-knows-what was in there. Well, i turned that bottle into my work bottle, (golf course work, throwing it in and out of the truck, dropping it on cart paths countless times) and purchased a new one to keep a little nicer. So now I have a tent stake hammer/water bottle, and a beautiful emerald green stylish bottle. Please, treat yourself to the worlds greatest, extra green, water bottle.

so far, so good

The North Face Fission Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Climashield Neo

The North Face Fission Sleeping Bag: 20 Degree Climashield Neo

Rating for this product: 5 June 9, 2008

I bought this bag for a homeless spring, summer, and fall in northern michigan.(saving money for a serious trip to chile) I was weary to get a bag rated so low because we have some serious hot humid nights. Tonight for example, 10:00 pm 82 degrees, 80% humidity. I picked this simply because of the great price on a 20 degree bag and the footbox vent. This vent makes a world of difference, with both top and bottom zippers wide open, my 6'0 220lb body inside a Long fission feels a gentle breeze blow through all night... well at least until I fall asleep which doesn't take too long because this thing is gorgeously comfortable. I would've been fine with a regular length, but I've never had a problem with extra room. Plenty of space in this mummy bag for me, the vaulted footbox is also amazing, SO much room to roll around and twist my feet all I want. A true 3 season sleeping bag, don't waste your money on a cold night bag and a warm night bag. Just slap this ultralight, ultra compressible bag in your backpack and you'll be fine no matter what gets thrown at you. My coldest night was at 28 degrees this spring, slept great that night. There's so much i can say about this thing, I'll wait until I have a night under 20 degrees this fall to wrap this review up. Highly recommended.

The North Face Skareb 55 Backpack - 3050-3650cu in

The reviews here pretty much have this on the dot. I disagree with the comment about the buckles not holding on the waist strap though. I'm a slightly bigger guy with a healthy stomach on me and I've had no problem with these things, even after a heavy lunch and a beer. The roll top closure makes this pack a prime choice for traveling too, nobody is going to get inside the thing without you knowing. Just keep the valuables out of the small zipper accessory pocket. Didn't write this review to argue though, I just wanted to let everybody know this is extremely hydration compatible, contrary to the stats backcountry loaded up for us. (no offense backcountry, I love you guys) In fact you don't even have to rig anything, it is already there, with a little water drop symbol to show you if you don't understand what the little corner patch behind your head is for. Like I said, great pack.
