Arc'teryx Blade 24 Backpack - 1465cu in

Rating for this product: 3 October 18, 2009

I didn't like the way the pack fit. It was fairly stiff and felt burdensome with a heavy load. In addition, it's difficult to put a lot of supplies in this pack and I couldn't get used to the side opening concept. Getting gear in and out of the pack was very cumbersome. I also wasn't diggin' the square shape. Don't get me wrong, I love Arcteryx, but this just wasn't for me. I was looking for something a little more versatile. I give 3 stars because of its superb construction quality.

Mountain Hardwear Iguana Backpack - 1950cu in

Mountain Hardwear Iguana Backpack - 1950cu in

Rating for this product: 5 October 18, 2009

This pack is exactly what I wanted... Plenty of space, the laptop compartment is padded at the bottom, front mesh pocket is very versatile, fits superb, more than enough pockets, good construction quality, and it was relatively cheap considering I switched from the Arcteryx Blade 24 (which I don't recommend). I'm going to use this exclusively as a school pack, but since I've recieved it, I can tell it's going to get many more uses. This is only the 2nd MH product I've bought, and I must say they won me over with this one. 5 stars.

Is the laptop sleeve in this pack padded? Is it similar to the MH Enterprise?
