This is the greatest insulated layer jacket I have ever owned. I used this jacet on Mt Baker a few weeks ago in high winds and 25deg temperatures and it performed Perfectly. It truly is a windstopper and even though they don't claim it to be waterproof after several hours of heavy rain it stayed nice and dry. The hood is perfect for wearing with a helmet although a bit big otherwise. My only gripe is there are no pit zips. This jacket gets hot even in cold temps and it would be nice to have some vents.

I have taken this pack on several overnight trips in the cascades and love it. Lightweight and a great waist strap that doesn't dig in. I am 5' 11" about 160lbs. The waist strap is a little big but with it cinched all the way down it fits great. I usually line my pack with a 4mil construction garbage bag for our rainy cascade weather but so far I have not seen any moisture in the bag...even in the most torrential downpours.

Buy this pack...you won't be disappointed.
