Chaco Z/1 Unaweep Sandal - Men's

Chaco Z/1 Unaweep Sandal - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 April 29, 2008

I originally got these when they first came out as an alt to Tevas. I got them back in college, had them for over 5 years, lost them, bought a new pair, continue to still have them. The support is uncanny for a sandal and the sole can be replaced, which makes your $ stretch. Guess I'm kind of one of those people that if it's good why change. I have a low arch profile and wide toe box. Comfort is great with water to trail entry and has good mileage on walks up to 4 miles and then I would have to switch to something with more support, trail shoes. The cushions/rubber seems like a magical compound such as Disney 'blubber'. It has good support as stated but it seems to be endless. A definite yes for all.

Hipthong good for your feet & mind

Chaco Hipthong Sandal - Men's

Chaco Hipthong Sandal - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 April 28, 2008

I have had these sandals for over 10 months. This is my third pair of Chacos. I have always liked the contour of the footbed of this brand and the Vibram soles. I have 2 EE (width) in the front and this is very comfortable and supportive. I will say that initially wearing the sandal did take a little getting use to due to adjusting the straps to your comfort and size. I would recommend the shoe for people who need arch support, who have wide feet, and who want something reliable in the form of function and some style. It's not Metro Sexual but it does feel good on the feet...state of mind.

soft as...

Sanuk Yogi Sandal - Men's

Sanuk Yogi Sandal - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 April 28, 2008

These are definitley the soft sandals with a sinking motion of way comfort. It's not your support kind but it makes you feel relax like Yogi. The durability may be too relax also, it may last a second season but you may want to invest it in a better pair. If I would design these sandal, I would give it a little stronger sole like vibram to give it more of a lasting feel. I have wide toe box and low arch profile and this is my 5 pair of sandals.

Chaco Flip Sandal - Men's

Chaco Flip Sandal - Men's

These are my 2nd out of 3 pairs that I owe. These are the classic style of 'island' essential. I have wide feet with low arch profile. I would say that these are good quality construction. The comfort is not as cushy as some other brands but they have good traction on the urban sidewalk and some mild trails. I would recommend these for lazy Sunday but not your daily commute.

Reef or the surfer gals

Reef Fanning Sandal - Men's

Reef Fanning Sandal - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 April 24, 2008

It's definitely a fad to get these sandals. Maybe it was an impulse buy due to the Surfer Mag gal ad or the cheap discontinued price. It has been in my closet for over two years only get sun on a few wks out of the year where my 3 pairs of Chacos have seen over 200 days of the gold coast. I may say that they serve a good quick support in the profile but maybe a little rigid in the heel-almost rock like. My wide toe box seems to slip in but the straps seem too loose, making wearing it over 30 minutes seems tiresome. Forget about taking it on sand, it just seems to slow your pace down almost like the heel 'slouches'. I like to lounge but not have my feet feeling like gaining a workout trying to get to the water. I would recommend it to my frat pal (I don't have one).
