Great Euro Style!

Castelli Circuito Bike Sock

Castelli Circuito Bike Sock

Rating for this product: 5 November 8, 2008

These are great Euro style socks! Taller cuff, great wicking material, perfect amount of movement in the ankle and enough beef in the toe and heel so they don't wear out too quickly. I personally like the taller cuff! This one is perfect. It hasn't gone complete italiano by raising the cuff nearly halfway up the calf.....it's just right! These are really comfortable socks. Can't really ask for more!

Craft is Amazing!!!

Craft Pro Cool Superlight Mesh Base Layer - Sleeveless - Men's

Craft Pro Cool Superlight Mesh Base Layer - Sleeveless - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 8, 2008

I'm a huge fan of craft! If you haven't tried it, it's about time. I've been wearing their stuff for just over 15 years now. Bought my first stuff in Sweden and have been hooked ever since. The quality is always amazing! I've had hundreds of their products over the years and never had any issue with quality..... not a single time. I wear them year round. They keep you warm and dry in the winter and cool and dry in the summer. Even riding really long climbs in the heat they do their job. Sizing is very true to what they recommend. Literally, this is one of those things well worth the money, every time!

The Best Shorts!

Craft Elite Bib 9in Short - Men's

Craft Elite Bib 9in Short - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 November 8, 2008

These are quite possibly the best shorts you'll ever buy! Craft is anal retentive about details like seems everywhere on the short, length of the bib portion, length of the actual inseam. These are the most comfortable bibs I've ever worn. They move well no matter what position on the bike you're in. They don't ride up or down. They breathe very well. Sizing is right on. They wick sweat extremely well in fact these are the first shorts I haven't felt like a saltine cracker at the end of a 6 or 7 hour ride in the hot sun. A lot of money, yes, but they're worth it , in fact you'll end up buying a lot more than one pair!

Killer Race Tires!

Vredestein Fortezza TriComp Bike Tire

Vredestein Fortezza TriComp Bike Tire

Rating for this product: 5 November 8, 2008

I've loved Vredestein tires for a long time. I never really noticed a bigger problem than most in terms of flatting. If you're pulling a ton of miles every week they'll be really comfortable, expensive training tires. These tires feel the most like tubulars without the glue that I've ever used. They grip well, aren't difficult to install and run great. I like to train on them but I know that I'm going to be replacing them a bit more than cheaper, harder tires. I guess that's the price of comfort.

If you're wanting an HRM I'd go with the garmin 305. They work great and come with everything, including wireless heart rate monitor. Hope that helps.

Craft Elite Winter Bib Short - Men's

November 7, 2008

Nope, I don't believe they have a fly. I actually had some giesegi winter tights with a chamois in them. They had a fly and I ended up complaining about it so much my director got winter tights made without a fly. It might just be me but the fly added extra seams and material which tended to chafe certain areas a lot more than I wanted. It was worth it to me just to lean over just a little extra when nature called.

Awesome Gloves!

Backcountry.com In Motion Glove - Men's

Backcountry.com In Motion Glove - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 October 30, 2008

I love these gloves! I've used them about everywhere.... Hiking, alpine climbing, chillin in the hills, skiing, cooking and the list can go on and on. They do fit just a hair tight at first but there were no worries after the first few outings. They've added extra layers of leather in areas that tend to get worn faster than others. They aren't short like a work glove either, which I really like. All in all I'd say that I'd have paid nearly double for them. They're getting tons of use and haven't shown the least bit of signs that they're wearing thin! Thanks for another great product Backcountry!
