I bought these because of the "no stink" claim and its claim is true. It is great for running except if you have "jiggly belly" like me. The pants sits at the hip and the front will ride down to sit just below the belly while running. Also, there is no compression, so it will bag a little. Despite its faults, it is still a keeper because of its "no-stink" property.

This is a great light jacket to keep in pack when needed. I have the black and it has a low sheen to it, which I think it makes it dressier looking so that it can be worn around town and not just in the backcountry. The fit is great, better than my down sweater, thin (but warm), stylish and comfortable. Mine is slightly longer than the down sweater. I was torn between "with" hood or "without", went without because I usually wear a toque when hiking and don't use the hood when in town ... although withhood looks great too. Highly recommended!

It keeps you dry for sure, except that the material is a bit thin that it feels like wearing plastic and wrinkle easily. The coat is slightly fitted, so not very forgiving if you are shorter than average, like under 5'2" and the sleeves are quite long.

I like Patagonia's quality on most of their products but fall short on this one. It seems the focus on this one is "light weight" that it looses substance in the material.

I really like the style of this one. Hopefully, in the near future, Patagonia would have Petite sizes and improve the material on this one.

Can't complain about the quality and style but I don't think this fits anyone under 5'2".

I ordered a size Small and the sleeves are too long, covered my hands. The coat has a fitted look, which means it is narrower where the waist is and wider in the hip area, so if you are like me under 5'2", the shaping of waist and hip on the coat will not sit where they should be.

Also, the material of the coat is very light but lack of body, which means very wrinkly (see picture). If you are looking for a more dressy looking rain coat, this is not it.

I was going to order an XS but decided to continue searching for one in Petite size with same quality as this one but in wrinkle-free material. Perhaps, Patagonia will come up with one next season.

Pros: warm and stylish; you can wear it 3 ways. The down layer is very light.
Cons: not made for those who are under 5'2" and who are not slim; I tried a Small - length of coat is just right but the sleeves are long,almost covering my whole hands (at knuckles)and it is not feasible to shorten the sleeves to fit because there is a zipper on each sleeve opening. The outer layer is heavier than what I want and not very packable for travelling. The down jacket is slightly bigger than the outer layer and puffy, which makes the wearer look "fat" unless you zipped up to keep the down jacket compressed.Conclusion: If you are like me, 5'1" with not a slim, perfect figure, then this is not for you because the jacket is "fitted" and not very forgiving. Also, if you are looking for a light, and packable coat for travelling, this is not it.

This jacket is light, warm and very packable. I only have one negative thing to say about this - the fit of this jacket is not uniformed according to the size for all colors. Patagonia made some adjustments to the fit from previous year's version - narrower shoulders and chest; and wider in the waist so that you don't have this cinched in look (looking like a football player in uniform). Unfortunately, I think Patagonia reduced the shoulders and chest a bit too much. I tried on the red, blue and purple in XSmall and found that the purple fits about a 1/2-1/4 inch larger than the blue; the red fits about 1/4-1/8 inch larger than the blue. Conclusion: you need to try them on to see which one fits.
I am 5'1" and compact 135lb with a mature figure. The purple fits comfortably snug, not tight, with room for a light layer, like a 220 Icebreaker top.

I ran in it for a 7K training session the other day and it performed as described - not overheated and very comfortable; and I did not feel any muscle ache afterward. However I think I am going to save it for when I run my 1st half in October ... I am 5" and 138lbs (weight evenly distributed), purchased size Small and it fits perfect. Very happy with my purchase and highly recommended for those long runs but not for training runs (want to build up strength but then, that's just my way of training).

It is accurate and good but big. I had this for one and half year when the "low battery" icon came on occassionally, then suddenly one day the numbers were missing some lines. Had the battery replaced by an authorized Polar dealer but the numbers still not readible which rendered it useless. I am disappointed that it quit in less than two years, perhaps it is from a bad batch! Thanks to BC return policy, I will give Polar another try.

These are better quality and cut than previous year's similar style. I could wear these around town and go hiking also. These are "must have" for travelling!

Patagonia updated the cut from previous year's and it is perfect! Now, you can wear it around town and not just on the mountain. Like another reviewer said it is warm and light, and not bulky under a water-proof shell (when needed). It is a "regular" fit, so size down if you want it fitted or size up if you want to wear layers under it.
I purchased the real red - great color! ... go get one!

This is my second purchase and it is great for travel, work and play. It is light weight, warm when needed and the fit is not tight.

I am going to answer my own question: I tested both Atlas 12 and MSR Lightning Ascent - they are both amazing but I found that MSR is great if the snow conditions are icy and steep hills whereas Atlas 12 just as good except you have to kick in the toes to grip when going uphill, however coming downhill is quite fun, you can run downhills without tripping over the snowshoes (which I did when accidently stepped on the other shoe with MSR). Overall, they both are amazing so it is a matter of personal preference.

I own a few down jackets and Patagonia is the best in term of its down quality - soft, no "quills" so you don't have down poking out of your jacket each time after wearing it.

This jacket has a relaxed fit, so size down if you want a more fitted look.

The quality of Patagonia down is superb! Light, warm and minimal "quills" so almost loose no down. I have mine for over a year and only lost a couple of down. Patagonia listened and updated the fit. I wanted to get another one of this year's but unfortunately BC didn't have my size in the color I want. I ordered the white but it was not white as shown but more cream and dark down shown through the fabric, giving it a "mottle or dirty" appearance. Oh well, I'll just wait to get another one next season.

This is a slim fitting jacket. I normally wear a small and the small fits snug around the waist but I preferr a bit more room, so sized up to a medium. I was having a hard time deciding on the color, both the Garnet and Sandstone is very nice looking. I settled on the sandstone color as it is more versatile for me. I am 5'1" and the length of the jacket is perfect. The sleeves are slightly long but then it means I don't have to wear gloves. I am very happy with my purchase.

Mine is from last year's stock and it is loosing feathers each time after wearing it. I am very disappointed with the quality of the jacket considering the price I paid for it. Perhaps, the NF improved the quality of this year's version.

I had mine for two years and used them just about every chance I can get in the Winter. Yes, they do pelt snow up your back but not a big problem if dressed appropriately. The shoes are light, easy to put on and stays on, with great traction going up and down icy hills. I can't wait to use them again soon! Hightly recommended, just make sure you wear water-proof pants or at minimum, water-resistant ones - ie. cycling tights.

Another great addition to my collection of Icebreaker - very stylish and true to size, fitted but not tight, light weighted and warm. The cranberry color is very nice and not "little girl-like". I also ordered the black/chill color - not as pictured, the hood is lined with a contrast color - greenish-gray (mint). Whereas, the cranberry color is lined with the same color as the rest of the sweater. I guess when the color description has a "slash", it means contrast color.
Aside from colors, the quality and fit is awesome!

Love this top - great for running and hiking as one reviewer said! I've been wearing the Bodyfit150, which is similar style as this, all summer long climbing the Grouse Grind - did not stink, breathable and dried very quickly. The quality of 200 feels softer and nicer than my old 150 that I can wear to work and go running afterwork in it ... also, merino wool keeps you warm even when wet.

I bought a black one last winter and it is still holding its shape and retained its color - love it! It kept me warm afterward on many streneous hikes up the mountain and did I mentioned how little space it takes up in a backpack. I just bought another one in Salsa, great color and great price.

I bought one of every color available based on all the positive comments on the style and cut, and I actually like the "poppy" color. It is bright and cheerful! However, I am disappointed with the quality, and the cut compare to other Icebreaker tops that I own - one feels out of shape and another the side seams twisted to the front, had to reposition but then the top part is out of place. Like another reviewer said, the raw-edge details look unfinished and it is not my style so will be returning these.

This is a basic dressier t-shirt, great for travel when you are limited in lugguge space and your clothes have to serve duel purposes - hiking in the woods and browsing in museums. I bought the black one and will get another one when my size is available in another color. Highly recommended!

I originally ordered this from BC but later located one in the color I want and can't complain about the 40% less so returned BC's. However, I highly recommend this jacket to anyone looking for a casual down jacket. This is a good weight down jacket for the wet Westcoast winter - light, warm and water resistant. It is a classic design, slim fitting around the waist, so there is not much room allowance for layering, so order your size according to the size chart if you like it fitted or size up for layering. I am 5'1'' and normally wears Small - the "small" in this jacket fits around the shoulders, the sleeves are slightly long (I am okay with that) and the waist is snug. A medium would give me more room in the waist but then the rest would be too big, so kept the Small. I am very pleased with my new purchase.

... I wore this a few times now and not loosing any downs, so I am very pleased with my purchase. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a light, warm and compact down jacket to wear when you reached the peak - it compressed down very well, so it takes up hardly any room in the backpack. I take this along whenever I go snowshoeing or hiking and put it on when I reached the peak while I admire the scenery.
I have the red one and definitely will buy another one next year, in another color.

The jacket, when on, reminds me of the inside liner of a coat. There are tabs on the sleeves as attachments to a shell, so it appears, this is a liner with its shiny, satin fabric and diamond quilted patterns;also, shorter sleeves and body. No, I would not wear this as a jacket!

Pros: This jacket fits true to size and light.
Cons: I have the "molten red" and dark colored feathers still show through the fabric. I have not worn it out yet and found a couple of feathers poked through the fabric, hopefully the jacket does not continue "molting" too much. The fabric is thin (that's why it is so light) and has a low sheen to it. I compared this with the Patagonia Down Sweater and found the North Face is puffier with the same 800-Fill down. Also, I didn't care much for the large logos on the front and back on the North Face; and writings on the sleeves. As another reviewer said - "lke a walking ad for North Face."

I think this jacket is designed for tall and skinny people with long arms. The color - Carbon is a light grey and not as dark as shown.

This jacket fits a bit big - it is a "regular fit". I originally ordered my normal size small and found the shoulder wide and sleeve length long. I downsized to an Xsmall and it fits snug, not tight, around the waist and the rest fits just right, so this is a keeper.

It performed as promised, windproof, light and warm. Looks-wise: I compared it with the North Face Thunder down and much preferred this. Although, the shoulder is wider and sleeves longer than the North Face, I found that the overall look is more tailored, less puffy and "classier" - no large logos in front and back (only a small discreet tag on the hem) and fabric not shiny.
I highly recommend this, especially the "marishino" red, it is a nice and cheerful red and no dark feathers showing through. So far (worn a couple of times), no feather poking through ... yet.

The Patagonia Xsmall fits almost equivalent to the North Face Thunder Small.

Tried on a Theta and Beta, went with the Beta. I am 5'1", the Beta fits whereas, the Theta fits looser and longer on sleeves and length. It looks very flattering on. I have not worn it for outdoor activities yet, so can't say much about its performance but based on other reviews, it sounds pretty awesome!

I worn these tights for snowshoeing and they were very comfortable and warm enough for me. I didn't have to wear another layer, but I was running in the snow and working hard! These are windproof in the front, and water resistant. I got wet in the seat area when I had to slide down the hills but they dried fast. When outside temperature is 0-10 celcius, they were too warm for snowshoeing but they were very breathable so was not unbearable. They fit big, does not fit like "tights" but more like slim "pants". I am 5'1", normally wears small but X-small fits great (not snug), waist band - sits comfortably at waist and length slightly long. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase.

I agree with another posting - the color is "girly" and it seems like the fit is also sized for someone with a "girlish" figure. I normally wear a small, so ordered the same but the fit around the waist and hip was very tight while the chest and shoulder big, and sleeves too long. I am 5'1", so perhaps this was sized for someone who is taller but the length fits me - maybe it should be short on a taller person. The material feels as described but unfortunatly had to return it so unable to test out its performance, protection and breathability for high workout such as running.

I am a converted merino wool wearer - highly recommended this one for cooler weather running. Very breathable and I love the bright color. The fit is very comfortable, not tight, definitely a 'must have".

The fit is great and the weight is just right. I can't wait to wear this when I go running in the Spring.

I returned this vest because the fit is a bit "boxy" and thick compare to the NorthFace Windstopper Hybrid, which I ended up keeping. This is okay, if you are looking for looser and shorter fit. I wear layers when running and snowshoeing, so need light, performance and no bulk.

These looks great on, but unfornately had to return them because it didn't fit, touching my cheeks. According to Oakley's website, they have the "Asian fit", so will try that out.

... unfortunately they did not sit properly and touching my cheeks, not the glasses fault.

I am disappointed with this one from Icebreaker. The material is okay and not as fine and tightly woven as their 260 shirts, the fit needs some improvement - the waist band is skinny and tight that it cut into the waist (very uncomfortable). If you order one size up to fit the waist, then the rest is long and baggy.

Love this! The fit is great and the material is wonderful. This is perfect as a base layer in the Winter and wear alone in the Spring. Since I don't like to wear too many layers, keeping this for Spring, I also ordered a 260 to wear underneath a NorthFace Hybrid vest for snowshoeing in Vancouver, BC.

I added another two Icebreakers, black and cranberry, to my collection. They perform great and good weight for snowshoeing up the mountain in the westcoast and warm enough when pairing with the Northface Hybrid vest. The fit is slightly bigger (1/4 inch wider and 1/2 inch longer) than the other "slim fit", so you may consider ordering one size smaller if you are used to the snug fit.

I wore it today in my trail run and it performed as described - blocks wind, wicks moisture and dry fast. Also, it is light, not bulky and takes up very little room in my backpack. This little vest is very stylish, snug fitting (not tight) and looks terrific. It is true to sizing, so order a "Small" if you normally wear a "small". I like this so much that I am going to order the black one also!

Just received this - beautiful colour and a great fit! Not disappointed at all and just as described above "slim-fitting ... sport it on its own during late fall and early spring hikes ..." This is very light (but warm) and take up very little space in your backpack, and perfect for the Westcoast Fall and Spring weather. It is true to size, so if you normally wear size Small order a Small.

This is not just for kids. It is just the right size for those time when you need just enough water and not a lot of bulk in your backpack.

Can't say enough of how great merino feels, even when wet. Will not be going back to cotton or synthetic. As for sizing, I am a regular small and don't like my clothes to fit snug so purchased a medium - fits great, comfortable and not loose.

Light enought to carry in backpack and warm enough for sudden drop in temperature in the Fall. This is a regular fit shirt, which means not snug around the waist - true to size, so order your regular size.
