Definitely a work to live kind of guy, I love to be outdoors, hiking, mountain biking, camping, fly fishing, you name it, if it is outdoors then I am there. I'm partial to beer, or alcohol in general, and the simpler and fresher the food, the better. My middle name ought to be gearhead, and I have more fun outdoors, when I invest in the right gear. For that reason, Backcountry.com is my top gear site.

Jason, thanks so much for the insight. I have had a pair of Atlas shoes for 8 years, and they are great for backcountry trekking, but I thought about trying some for running on packed trails. This gives me a much better idea of what I need for running. Thanks again.

The North Face Base Camp Duffel Bag - 2560-4395cu in

Sure you can find cheaper duffel bags, but if you want to buy one bag for life, to haul stuff in, this is it. Extremely well made, great straps, not trying to be something its not. Its a North Face duffel bag made with great seams, material and straps, what else would you expect. Definitely recommend. By the way, always go larger than you think, I went large, and love it. Plenty of room, I dont worry about what I cant fit.

Big Agnes Dream Island Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Synthetic

I have both the dream island bag and the pad. Its an awesome sleeping system. It is great for car camping, and honestly if I'm car camping, I don't want to be squished in a little bag. I want room to move in like my bed at home, but this bag is still great if you want someone to snuggle with. Outstanding product, and i'm guessing from the construction it will last for years.

This has got to be one of the most comfortable flip-flops out there. Great looks, but the foam base is awesome. You may have to buy a new pair every year, because the foam cushion won't last more than a season or two based upon usage, but these things are the best. Size seems accurate. I had these the day after I ordered them. This site has the best service, it's right up there with Zappos and Amazon.
