Black Diamond Jetstream Glove Liner
December 21, 2008
My hand, even in the glove, is much, much smaller than the moose prints of northern Minnesota.

MontBell Extremely Light Down Jacket - Men's
January 7, 2009
Perusing Montbell's website, the following Montbell down jackets use box construction: Alpine down jacket; Permafrost down parka; one-piece expedition suite. The rest use sewn-through construction. If you are worried about it, go with one of their synthetic insulated parkas. I recommend the U.L. Thermawrap Parka.

Marmot Hydrogen Sleeping Bag: 30 Degree Down
November 6, 2008
I'd say this bag is a good investment for summer camping. You can buy bags that are rated at higher temps for less though. The downside to doing that is that you never know when the temps will dip below what you are expecting. I always like to have a bag that is rated for slightly below what I'd normally be camping in. If it gets too warm, you unzip it and lay it over you like a comforter. This is a good down bag so it shouldn't be too warm in the summer as it vents well when unzipped. It's also super light. If you get too hot, unzip it, unfold it and lay it over you like a quilt. Put your feet in the foot box and you should be fine. This is a perfect summer weight bag.

Marmot Scree Softshell Pant - Men's
October 15, 2008
How does Marmot's M3 fabric compare with Polartec PowerShield fabric? Which is more breathable? Which repels snow better? Which repels wind better?

Marmot Power Stretch 3/4 Pant - Men's
October 15, 2008
How well do these repel snow and wind? I am looking to use them as an active-wear pant for snowshoeing with an insulated pant for breaks and in camp.
