Awesome

Oakley Crowbar Goggle

Oakley Crowbar Goggle

Rating for this product: 5 June 2, 2009

I have the crowbars in H.I. yellow and black iridium. Did the switch from cebe's after a day with terribly flat light, and the H.I. yellow are awesome in those conditions. I have never seen so much in flat light before and I have much more confidence in skiing fast when i can see where I'm going (for some strange reason).
It will be really hard to convince me to go away from oakleys and to try another brand now.

Huge sizes

QuikSilver Edition Clear Days Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

QuikSilver Edition Clear Days Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 3 June 2, 2009

According to the sizing chart I was supposed to get the XXL. I thought that sounded a bit big, so I got the XL and it's still the largest shirt I have. If I had gotten the XXL I probably woudn't need a sail for my sailboat.
Still, if you get the right size it's a very comfy and good looking shirt. I'm actually thinking of buying another one, but this time in L instead of the XXL wich is recomended

Great for inbounds and sidecountry

Osprey Packs Switch 16 Pack - 900-1000cu in

Osprey Packs Switch 16 Pack - 900-1000cu in

Rating for this product: 5 June 1, 2009

This pack is great for those days when you aren't hiking a long way from the lifts, and really just need oyur avy gear, some lunch and an extra layer.
It fits snug on your back so you hardly notice it's there, and there's no problem having it on on the chair-lifts.
It fits my G3 avitech shovel perfectly, and allmost seem to be tailored to fit it. I can also fit in lunch, a 3L camelback, some extra layers and gloves, extra goggles, my skins and not much more. I love the hip pockets for phone, camera and other small items wich are useful to have within reach.
Don't buy it if you need to fit your helmet in it, I don't understand why backcountry.com states that you fit the helmet in the top pocket, because you can't. I have also asked about this on the live chat, but they have not corrected this error. Osprey does not say that it fits a helmet in the top pocket in contrast to what they say about the 26 and 36L versions.

Great shovel

G3 AviTECH Shovel

G3 AviTECH Shovel

Rating for this product: 5 June 1, 2009

Seriously sturdy and large enough for shoveling thru avy debris and ice layers.
I misplaced my old shovel, and after a look on other shovels I came to the decision that the only right thing to do was to buy i once again.
It fits perfectly in to my osprey switch 16 which seems to have been tailored around this shovel.
As others have mentioned, the fit between the shaft and the blade can be a little tight, but this really just makes the shovel less rattly when digging.
