Backcountry.com Shift Welder Hoody - Men's

Yep, probably. I'm 5'8", 165 lbs., and the medium fits me well (except for the long sleeves). I have room for two light layers under it. It has quite an athletic cut, so if you like that, a small would *probably* work.

Good fleece

Cloudveil Gridlock Fleece Jacket - Men's

Cloudveil Gridlock Fleece Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 May 20, 2009

Just received this today and it seems like a pretty good little piece. Just wore it out on a nippy, windy spring day (4 degrees Celsius) in Calgary, and it seems pretty good. I don't know what people are complaining about with the wind--it seems to do pretty well in the wind all things considered. Yes, a little wind goes through, but, c'mon it's a fleece. That's what shells are for. It performs way better than my old Polartec 300 fleece in the wind, that's for sure. I am 5'8" and got the medium. It fits pretty much true to size. I have a bit of room to layer under there. It's a little expensive, but I got it on S & C, and I think it's good piece for that price. The only thing I would change is that I'd add some pit zips, but that's not a big deal. It's not often that I open those vents in my mid-layer anyway.

After buying on SAC, just received this today. Very sweet softshell. Workmanship looks great, it's very comfy, stretches well, and the colour is great. I'm 5'8", 165 lbs, and it's a good fit on me; enough room for a layer underneath, Only one minor gripe: the sleeves are crazy long--I wish they were a bit shorter or had velcro cinch. I bought the Flylow Kung Fu jacket recently, and wasn't really happy with it (it didn't seem to breathe that well), but just wearing this around the house, it seems like it breathes like a champ. I can hardly wait to get 'er out to the hill for some spring turns.

Looks good...

Swix World Cup Ski Vise

Swix World Cup Ski Vise

Rating for this product: 4 November 7, 2008

I just had this delivered. It looks good, but I think the "110mm" waists claim might be pushing it. The box says 85mm, but it looks like it opens to around 100mm safely, which is good because my widest waisted ski is 98mm. If I ever buy some true fatty powder boards this vise may not work all that well with them (unless I clamp the binding). Otherwise, it looks well made. Tickety-boo.
