Patagonia Ultra Lightweight Hiking Crew Sock

Gave these to a friend in the viola (purple) color. I would order myself a pair based on the looks when I received them. The price is slightly high but on par with SmartWool and Teko. She'd never worn wool blend before and was surprised that her feet didn't sweat much, they stayed warm but not hot, and, you can wear them more than one day in a row without stinking. Socks CAN make a good xmas gift.

Darn Tough Merino Wool Argyle Cew Light Sock - Women's

Gave these to a friend in the plum color. They looked so adorable, I wish I'd ordered myself a pair. The price is slightly high but on par with SmartWool and Teko. She'd never worn wool blend before and was surprised that her feet didn't sweat much, they stayed warm but not hot, and, you can wear them more than one day in a row without stinking. Socks CAN make a good xmas gift.

Sold on Fox River

Thought they were wool, but they're still good.

I could be a rep for merino wool; I love it so much more than cotton. I am systematically replacing my cotton with wool. I bought these for my man, accidentally, thinking they were wool. However, I'm still very pleased with them. He isn't picky, but he likes the fit and the color a lot for wearing to the office. I have washed them a few times now (I never put them in the dryer), and they seem very well made. I'm sold on Fox River from this and the merino wool socks I got from them.

Another great merino wool sock

Bridgedale Trailhead Sock - Men's

Bought these (and the multisport) for my man. He wears out socks! Uses them for workouts and for ten-hour days in the office. Only had these for a few washes so far, but I would recommend them. The only thing is they seem to fuzz more than some, but so far that has not affected the functionality.
I love the color - we got these in the silver/navy/orange.
We bought the XL for size 14 feet, and they fit perfectly. I have noted that some Smartwool tend to run small, which was why I turned to different brands this year, although I would still buy SW for myself (I wear medium for ladies size 9 feet).
100% recommend any merino wool blend over cotton, and this brand has my stamp of approval.
