Therm-a-Rest Prolite Plus 4 Stuff Sack

Therm-a-Rest Prolite Plus 4 Stuff Sack

Rating for this product: 5 July 28, 2009

Perfect fit & it did the job! Highly recommend you purchase this stuff sack with your pad because it will fit it perfectly. Don't try to buy a cheaper stuff sack because the size will not be right.

Perfect Fit

Therm-a-Rest Fitted Sheet

Rating for this product: 4 July 28, 2009

Bought for the Prolite Plus Sleeping Pad size Large & it fit very well. I was disappointed that the colors in the sheet I received look nothing like the picture (Stripe) that I ordered. I received a striped sheet that was very green hued, according to the picture it should have more brown & beige hues. I added a picture of the stuff sack (which is exactly what the pattern & color of the sheet is, just smaller) so you can see for yourself the difference between the advertised picture & what you will receive. The function was perfect, just disappointed in the color. The sheet is essential & kept my pad perfectly clean.

North Face gets it right again!

The North Face Horizon Utility Pant - Women's

The North Face Horizon Utility Pant - Women's

Rating for this product: 5 July 28, 2009

I wore these on a 12 mile round trip fourteener hike (Pikes Peak, CO) Lots of grueling rocky uphill stints with quickly changing temperatures. These pants held up perfectly. The material kept me warm during chilly times and the material was thin enough to keep me cool & I only needed to stop once to make them into capris. It was very easy to move it these pants. On the plus side these are super cute for pictures :) You will be pleased with these pants. Side note - I wear a size 10 religiously & I had to send back the size 10 for a size 12 & they were still slightly snug.

Best Socks EVER

SmartWool Adrenaline Light Micro Sock

SmartWool Adrenaline Light Micro Sock

Rating for this product: 5 July 28, 2009

These socks rock. I will never spend ridiculous amounts of money again for technical socks full of materials I can't even pronounce. Wool is the way to go! I own a few pairs of SmartWool socks for warmth & comfort so I didn't know about if they could make a light micro sock, but I trusted all the reviews and I am BEYOND pleased with my purchase. You will not be disappointed. Last week I hiked Pikes Peak in Colorado from the Crags (12 miles round trip) and I only had to put ONE piece of moleskin on my foot due to an old blister from previous training when I was breaking in my new hiking boots. This is UNHEARD of while hiking a fourteener. I had ZERO new blisters at the end of 6 hours of intense hiking. These socks ROCK. I hiked Mt Evans, CO last year wearing mediocre hiking socks & I finished with blisters & feet full of moleskin, talk about uncomfortable. I am a believer & I will be purchasing many more of these perfect socks for everyday walking, biking & training. Side note - the socks will only work if your hiking boots have been properly broken in.

Slept like a baby

Therm-a-Rest Prolite Plus Sleeping Pad

Therm-a-Rest Prolite Plus Sleeping Pad

Rating for this product: 5 July 28, 2009

I took this for a 8 night camping trip & it met all my expectations. It kept me super warm & comfortable. I added extra air to make it firm & I slept like a baby. I had to add air every night but this is expected for a air filled sleeping pad. I only have one downside - since the pad is self inflating it is very difficult to roll back up into it's compact size & get it into it's stuff sack because it keeps inflating. By the end of the trip I was a pro though :) Therm-a-rest rocks!

Kelty Performance meets Style

Kelty FC 3.0 Kid Carrier - 1100cu in

Kelty FC 3.0 Kid Carrier - 1100cu in

Rating for this product: 5 May 28, 2008

I owned the previous Kelty Pathfinder and I couldn't have been more pleased when Kelty introduced three color variations. I purchased the black FC 3.0. I am 100% pleased with the new design! The carrier feels more solid & disperses my daughters weight (now 36 lbs) better than the previous version. I have yet to have a backache. The extra storage is a point of conflict because while it is great to be able to pack extra gear, it irritates my daughter with the lack of leg room. Overall, the FC 3.0 is a fabulous design & I recommend this carrier to any performance oriented parents.
