I bought the men's version of this jacket awhile back. My daughter got a hold of it one day and refused to return it to me. In order to get mine back I promised I would get her one for her birthday. Simply put this is one of the most comfortable fleece jackets we have have owned. While this is positioned as a casual garment, it is so much more... it may be the quintessential hut-to-hut fleece... it makes a perfect outer layer on relatively mild days (while not windproof this is a tight weave)... a perfect mid layer on brisk days where a shell is required... it's absolutely spectacular to lounge in around the wood stove in the cabin... all this and the fit is stylish and functional. Did I mention the incredible hood... you choose how far to zip 'er up? Now my other daughter wants one!

This one took me by surprise... way more technical than I would've thought from the description with very cool features like thumb loops and a full zip hood (don't laugh I can see various clever uses for this). Without a doubt the most comfortable fleece I own and environmentally friendly no less! This fabric is VERY lightweight and breathes well yet blocks enough wind to be comfortable when there is a chill in the air. The fit is athletic, but allows a full and complete range of motion. This thing is ridiculous! Kudos to Norrona for raising the bar!!

This may be the most versatile year round jacket I own. I have tried so many softshells over the years and none have the exceptional features and fit as this one. From the generous velcro cuff adjustments to the ginormous pit zips, Norrona did this right. Perfect for cool summer night trekking, to dead of winter xc-skiing (obviously part of a layering system -- this is NOT an insulating jacket). It sheds wind and water, breathes beautifully and moves the moisture away as well as anything I have used, great for all outdoor aerobic activity. It looks like whoever designed this garment actually uses it! Remarkable jacket. The styling could not be more sophisticated as well... I actually look good in it! Please note, this is an athletic cut (yet not restrictive), the arms are long, but the cuff adjustments make it easy to get a good snug fit. Conclusion: form and function of the highest order... a piece of art. Seriously. All this from recycled materials. This is a company to watch... these people know their stuff.

I have been looking a long time for the perfect throw-on-and-take -the-dogs-for-a-walk-jacket. This is it and so much more. It is so comfortable that I wear it on lighter/shorter treks as well. The fit is ideal - tapered with room to move. Style and function in equal parts. You can throw a pretty substantial base layer on if needed, but best of all is the soft feel, so a t-shirt is just grand. The most striking thing to me was the quality of the construction and attention to detail. This is one well designed jacket.

I bought this for wife at Christmas. Once again 66 North shows industry leading innovation in materials and design. Meant to be worn next to the skin, this is not only one of the most functional base layers I have ever seen it is also most certainly the best looking. (This is a Euro fit so make sure you go 1 size up.)

This is the second set I have bought. Got these for my wife. They simply can not be beat in this price range. We use them for everything... so incredibly versatile!!

I bought 2 of these for my daughters (I have the men's version)... no one uses Polartec products across the board as well as 66 North. The fit is unlike anything else - so sweet (though it is Euro sizing). They really sweat the little details as well. I am a huge converted fan. Backcountry is the best, and the only consistent place I can find their product... amazing stuff.
