Great Sounding But Troubles Staying In My Ears

Beats by Dre PowerBeats Sport Headphones

Beats by Dre PowerBeats Sport Headphones

Rating for this product: 4 August 25, 2011

These headphones sound great. No doubt about that. Alas my one gripe is that the headphones slip out of my ears when I am running. I personally sweat quite a bit and I have only used in the summer where I am prone to sweat even more. The clip that is attached to the headphones does help quite a bit but I am still having to periodically adjust them.

Hardly notice I have it on.

Arc'teryx Quiver Backpack - 670cu in

Arc'teryx Quiver Backpack - 670cu in

Rating for this product: 5 March 5, 2011

Held my shovel and probe no problem along with my sandwich and a drink. Never even knew I had it on when skiing. Exactly what I was looking for. Only complaint is I wouldn't mind it being a little bigger.

Backcountry.com SynthTrail No-Show Sock

Backcountry.com SynthTrail No-Show Sock - 4-Pack

Rating for this product: 5 November 16, 2010

As like other Backcountry.com's socks these are very comfortable. I wear La Sportiva Nago climbing shoes and in the cooler weather I like to wear socks with them. They are snug enough to fit comfortably in my nagos keeping my feet somewhat warm at least better than not wearing any socks. The durability of the socks seems improved as well. As I have always liked the comfort of Backcountry.com's socks it is their sewing or construction that I have had problems with in the past. It seems that these socks don't have that problem.

I am 6'1 185, got the large. Great fit for my long arms also nice athletic fit around the shoulders. I was pleasantly surprised as to how warm this jacket really is. This also packs up real tight as well. I highly recommend it.

Great bag but HEAVY

DAKINE Concourse Double Ski Bag

DAKINE Concourse Double Ski Bag

Rating for this product: 4 February 23, 2009

This bag as advertised can hold two pair of skis, poles, and boots no problem at all. It is made durable enough to handle such loads as well. Maneuvering this bag fully loaded can be hassle but look what you got. My main concern is weight. The bag itself weighs 12 pounds. So for airline travel this bag fully loaded is not practical unless one wants to pay the extra fees. One thing to consider is carrying one's boots on the plane with you in my case that's 12 pounds, and put your clothes in the external pockets. A little creativity may help the cause. I just wish the bag itself was a bit lighter. Overall the bag is a great workhorse and can take a pounding.
