Not bad...

Burton AK Gore-tex 3L Hover Mitt - Men's

Burton AK Gore-tex 3L Hover Mitt - Men's

This is a great glove but it does have its faults. The suede patch on the back of the hands (where it says 'ak') is a stupid idea. snow sticks to it and makes it cold. I normally just wear the stretch glove with it and this makes my hands cold! We don't need the suede for looks!
Also, get the nikwax on the leather from day 1 because it gets damaged easily

great jacket!

Arc'teryx Sidewinder SV Jacket - Men's

Arc'teryx Sidewinder SV Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 July 16, 2007

Amazing jacket for backcountry boarding. pockets are huge and well placed. I really like the stretchy back! The hood fits over my helmet (red hifi size m). I can't tell you how comfortable I've been in howling winds with this on.
The reason why I didn't give it 5 stars though is the crappy powder skirt. It is completely useless as it rides up all the time. This is not too important though if you've got a pack on since the waist belt keeps your jacket close.

Deceptively warm!

SmartWool Lightweight Zip T-Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

SmartWool Lightweight Zip T-Shirt - Long-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 4, 2006

Having worn a Burton first layer for about 10 years now I was a bit doubtful that this thin shirt could be as warm...
Wow, was I mistaken! This is so thin that it feels like a regular shirt but it is plenty warm!
I normally wear an XL for everything but an L fit me perfect. (I'm 189cm and thin with long arms)

Super light, yet bomber

Arc'teryx Sidewinder SV Jacket - Men's

Arc'teryx Sidewinder SV Jacket - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 December 4, 2006

First the fit. This was my biggest worry when ordering this jacket off the net (since it's so expensive!). I'm an XL and the XL fits me perfectly. L is just too small. Next, the build quality. Awesome. The only bad part about it is the elastic bit that you pull on to tighten the powderskirt sticks out...but it's not really a big deal. Being a snowboarder, I was worried that this jacket might be too 'skier-ish' for me, but no, it looks really good and doesn't hurt my snow-cred. This jacket is real expensive but oh, so worth it, so since you're taking the time to read this you know you want it! Just pull the trigger!

Anon gold mirrors are not full mirrors. You can see into them. Gold mirrors are the best because they combine the 'best for bad weather' gold lens with a slight mirror for bright conditions. If you want a full mirror lens then you need to get the solex lens (but then you lose major visibility in low/flat light conditions.) RE: The frame. Well, I've also owned Oakleys, Arnettes, and Electric, and I keep going back to the figments. They are by far the best.
