comfort all the way

Petzl Adjama Harness - Men's

Petzl Adjama Harness - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 September 18, 2008

Petzl really seem to have the comfort factor dialled in. This harness rocks whether its outdoors taking some big falls or slaving away on an indoor route you just won't give up on. I've put it through the wash a few times as well and its still in perfect condition. The doubleback buckles are so fast and easy too. Wicked harness. As for the sizing issues, go to a shop, try it on, then get it through backcountry. Problem solved. Cheeky, but gotta be done.

comfortable socks

X-Socks Hiking Sock - Men's

X-Socks Hiking Sock - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 September 18, 2008

I wore these socks for two and a half months and only washed them twice in that time. They remained ultra comfortable and I wouldn't go any other way. I've since washed them numerous times and they still smell. I don't know whether that's an issue with me or the sock??? I'll still reccomend them though.

best light-weight tent out there

The North Face Dyad 22 Tent 2-Person 3-Season

The North Face Dyad 22 Tent 2-Person 3-Season

Rating for this product: 5 August 25, 2008

This tent is wicked, ultra light, strong design, easy to set up. Like most two man tents on the market, this is a really tight fit for two. I just used it as a solo tent and it was nice and roomy for just me. Not a tent for warm climates though, it does heat up a bit. If I find a better tent on the market in this price range I'll be amazed.

The North Face Primero 85 Backpack - 4880-5200cu in

The North Face Primero 85 Backpack - 4880-5200cu in

Rating for this product: 5 August 25, 2008

This pack is great. Its very comfortable, has good compartments, is very water proof. For the size of the pack, it is still quite light. I was able to carry twenty days worth of food for a solo trip in this pack, (with some cheeky strapping of tent and sleeping pad to the outside though). So in all, this pack has plenty of room, is light, strong and waterproof. Great buy.

Mountain Hardwear South Col Backpack - 4200-5000cu in

Mountain Hardwear South Col Backpack - 4200-5000cu in

Rating for this product: 2 April 1, 2008

An incredibly light pack indeed, but the material is so thin that it seems as if the slightest brush with an ice axe and all your contents are spilling out. It does has some great features, but I had to return it as the waist did not fit. I am a size 32 and it was too big, (I couldn't tighten it enough).
