Great insulation and weight for the price!

Therm-a-Rest Trail Lite Sleeping Pad

Therm-a-Rest Trail Lite Sleeping Pad

Rating for this product: 5 March 28, 2011

I have used this numerous times on camping trips and on a missionary trip. The missionary trip was for 2 1/2 weeks in Alaska, and I slept on this pad on the floor of a church during the entire duration of the trip. It provides great comfort and is great insulation from the cold ground. It doubles well as a seat when sitting next to the fire. It is rugged enough to be used outside of the tent, as I have stated that it is great when chilling outside next to the fire. It is super lightweight and is NOT bulky whatsoever when rolled up. It is very easy to get the air out too when rolling it up when it is time to pack up camp. I have used this pad in mid-20 degree temps and remained comfortable at night with a 0 degree bag. Other pads that I have used in the past just have not provided enough insulation against the ground that leeches the warmth from your body.

Marmot Limelight 3-Person Tent w/ Footprint and Gear Loft

March 28, 2011

I know that this won't help you at the moment, but I plan on using this tent for the 3-4 months that I will be spending in Alaska this summer (May-September). Alaska is notorious for no-see-ums and bit me all over this past summer. I will be more than happy to let you know how it held up against no-see-ums.
