Salomon Impact 10 Ski Boot - Men's

Salomon Impact 10 Ski Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 March 9, 2009

I took the boots down for the custom heat molding. The molding was excellent and the boot is very comfy but I would caution against heating them and cranking the boots down. Now, I have a hard time putting them into "race mode" If I did it over I would have heated them and put them on just tight enough to to not wiggle. That way, they would be molded but still have some pressure potential when I crank 'em down.

Works Just Fine

I've mounted them on my Trouble Maker Limited's and they are as solid as expected. I can't say the "shock absorber" really absorbs much of anything. I'd advise them for a general all around binding. They look sharp anyway.

Salomon Impact 10 Ski Boot - Men's

Salomon Impact 10 Ski Boot - Men's

Rating for this product: 4 February 11, 2009

These boots have done very well both on piste and some Masters level racing. I have yet to really tackle any big mountain or off-piste terrain but I feel the boots will do just fine. I noticed they have the custom sole plate, and I have no idea how to adjust the arch support. I will be interested to see how long they last since my last pair of boots made it more than 2 decades.

Salomon Impact 10 Ski Boot - Men's

According to the Salomon website, they seem a touch lighter, a touch wider, and somewhat softer. I base boots more on fit than specs. The Impact 10 fits me and I like the stiffness.
