Be careful with these treads

Vredestein Fortezza TriComp Bike Tire

Vredestein Fortezza TriComp Bike Tire

Rating for this product: 3 November 4, 2008

Unlike the previous author who inflated the tire up to 145 psi, I would caution that you will not get any sympathy from wheel makers who specifically state that their rims have a maximum pressure rating of 130 psi... namely Zipp, HED, and Mavic. So, be careful with following the crowd of people who inflate these tires up to the high pressures.

On other matters with this tread, after multiple sets over a two year period, I have to say that the tread is a pretty good race tread, but it is horrible if you want to use it for daily training. I remember one week when I was riding on relatively clean roads (aka no glass) and would have punctures every three days. Replacing tubes was getting rather costly. The weakness of these treads will be centered on their puncture resistance. If I was going to buy these treads, I would really weigh if I want to lose that race that I have trained for months due to a flat somewhere on the course.

The color schemes of the treads are awesome! You can mix and match the tread colors to work with nearly any bike, uniform, or just crazy color scheme you can make.

Minimalist...But be careful

Selle Italia Thoork Gel Flow Saddle

Selle Italia Thoork Gel Flow Saddle

Rating for this product: 3 November 4, 2008

The saddle has some stylish looks, but be careful about your backside. Not everyone is meant to fit this saddle. The padding is rather minimal, as well.

Tasty...But really worth it?

First Endurance EFS Drink

First Endurance EFS Drink

Rating for this product: 3 November 4, 2008

Sure, EFS gets the job done. It has all of those wonderful ingredients that you can read on the right under Tech Specs, but in my experience, just give me some gatorade or powerade. If you would eat correctly and train properly, you would not experience cramps as much. For $20, you could get a lot of other nutritional items.

Giro Pneumo Helmet

Giro Pneumo Helmet

Rating for this product: 5 November 4, 2008

Hey, spend some money and protect the cabeza! Giro makes a good product and the Pneumo will keep your head cool and protected from the asphalt of rural America. It is also pretty light.

Columbia Omni-Dry Silver Ridge Cargo Short - Men's

Columbia Omni-Dry Silver Ridge Cargo Short - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 14, 2008

Whoa! Why didn't someone tell me about these shorts before now. The shorts are extremely comfortable, and the they are the lightest pair of shorts that I have ever worn. If you ever wanted pockets, these shorts have them. Great all around. I'm ready to buy another two pairs.

Amazing shirts!

Columbia Silver Ridge Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Columbia Silver Ridge Shirt - Short-Sleeve - Men's

Rating for this product: 5 April 11, 2008

If you are looking for an active wear shirt that looks good in a business, casual, or merely laying around the house setting, look no further than the Silver Ridge shirt. I listened to the advice of the other reviewers about the size issues. Since I was on the border of small and medium, I picked the medium size and have been quite pleased with the size. The shirt is very light, and let me say that any cotton or cotton mixture shirt in my closet will be removed shortly. I have bought three of these Silver Ridge shirts and will shortly buy another two. Amazing! Great quality. Great colors.
